I Give Up

I'm finally on board with the ballet flats. I was totally against them because I thought it would make me look shorter, and since I'm barely 5'2", I wasn't really excited about that.

Two more broken toes later, I decided I don't care. I'm now all about them and considering wearing this style every day. I've decided they are fabulous.

Got the above shoes at Target- aren't they cute? I have them on today with khakis and a white long sleeved oxford. I feel quite fashionable.

I also picked these up at lunch there and think they will look cute with capris once it warms up for good. I might return them, because I'm not sure I love them yet. We shall see.

I am currently on target.com going crazy with these ballet flats because I desperately want these and it's free shipping over $50, and you know how I get about free shipping- by golly, I'll spend until I get there. It's a sickness.

Tonight Mr. Sasha is going to take The Politician to check out karate. (I always think of Ross and his kay-RAH-tay when I say that). His best bud, A, goes and loves it. Of course, her dad is a policeman, so I imagine he thinks it's a good idea for his precious little girl to learn how to protect herself.

At any rate, P didn't seem to excited about it last night, so who know how tonight will go. Mr. Sasha hasn't actually said it outright, but I think he thinks it's time to macho-ify P since he's developed an appreciation for lip balm and my Sugar hand lotion. In his defense, it does smell like lemonade, which is his most favorite beverage, but that fact is lost on Mr. Sasha and I've seen him wrinkle his nose quite a few times when P asks for hand lotion before bed.

I guess he'll just have the softest hands and lips at the martial arts studio. Nothing wrong with that, right?

I love flats! I wear them all the time! I'm tall (5'8") and I don't like to be any taller, so I almost never wear heels.

My mom made me take karate for a long time. She wanted me to be able to defend myself. I loved it, took it for around 5 years, and got my black belt. I hope your daughter likes it! :)

Absolutely lurve the flats...I'm thinking about breaking down and buying a pair. I'm actually pretty tall, but I've always rebelled against people telling me I should wear low heels so I would be "smaller and more feminine." That always made me go out and buy the tallest heels I could...but these are too cute to rebel against. I must have them...saw some cute ones at Payless in the weekend ads too. I think there is a shoe shopping spree in my future...

Eww, just went to Target's website...please do not get the Camo flats. What were they thinking? Very gross...

CUTE SHOES! I'm 5'6" and retarded in anything higher than a teeny tiny heel (as in, the 3 mm heel on a flat), so I mostly wear those. I love that you're so teeny!! Is it wrong to say that short people are always cute? Because I seriously stand by that.

Also? Your outfit sounds so cute! Also, love that the boy child is loving the lemon lotion, but I can see how that might worry Mr. Sasha :)

I was JUST at Target today admiring the flats! :) Unfortunately, I don't do well in shoes with NO support. I bought the most darling ribbon flats at Target last summer and they are KILLERS on my feet. Of course, they're still in my closet...

Cute flats!

I'd love to embrace flats, I really would. BUT, I'm only 4'10 and have very flat feet so I look stumpy and awkward in flat shoes. *Sigh* I'd much rather wear comfy shoes but the above issues force me to wear shoes with a bit of a heel. : (

It took me a while to get on board with flats too (I'm not exactly tall either), but now I'm in love! Those are super cute.

I love love LUUUUUVVV the balet flats. I have been wearing them for a year or two now and they are just so comfy. I am shorter too, but frankly, wearing these are better than some dirty pair of tennis shoes that have grass stains and dog poo (and God only knows what else!) and they are just as comfy! I was actually admiring that second pair at Target the other day. I just have to figure our what I would wear them with.
