Damn Tornado Alley

So Mr. Sasha and I are in bed last night (get your mind out of the gutter!), enjoying the pilot episode of Swingtown, and as it often happens this time of year in our part of the country, our favorite weatherman broke in and he and the crazy-ass storm chasers started in talking on top of each other about power flashes and debris. So we missed the last 15 minutes of a show I think we are really going to like. Damn weather.

Did you watch? There's a recap up at cbs.com, but no real details about the last bit. Can you fill me in? We'll watch it online later, but I really want to know now....

The Mister watched it... Said he thought it was great. I'm sure he did...

us too, Sasha! It was just getting started when it went off the air....plus we lost power on and off for hours at a time all last night. When it was still light, I was just peering out the windows checking out what all the neighbors were doing....it was actually quite like a TV show.

You know you're from Tornado Alley when the power goes off and the wind's howling, and the first thing that pops into your head is "dang it, I'm missing my show!"

(I'm dead serious, I love this. Though Dallas isn't TOO into TA, thank goodness!)

I liked the show.
I have to say though that I grew up in the town that it was patterned after and my parents and my sister and her family still live there. I don't think that it was like that time. But then I wasn't an adult at that time so what was I really aware of .

It was okay. I watched it online, and the acting was a bit uneven, but I'll probably watch it again.
