You've got to be kidding me

Guys, The Wild Child had been doing so great at school and hadn't bitten in weeks, maybe months.

But today she bit someone. Her closest little buddy.... on the face.

I am crushed. And at a loss as to what to do.

No suggestions - just hugs. My son ( a few months younger) hadn't bitten anyone in quite awhile & then bit ME on the face yesterday!

This too will pass!

No suggestions from me either other than to say she must have been really frustrated and didn't know what else to do. I know this probably doesn't help but she'll get over it and just like riding a bike or tying their shoes - it will happen one day out of the blue when you least expect it.

ditto EXACTLY what Kerry said, and I say this as not only a mother, but a preschool teacher. I PROMISE, we see it all the time. If it helps, my middle child (5 this week), only stopped biting a year ago - but he was adopted from Russia and sometimes would get so mad and couldn't think of the words - frustrating - for him and for me. Luckily, he kept it in the family and didn't do it at school - biting at 2 is normal. Biting at 4 is...when they start suggesting supernanny.

I am almost afraid to say that Eva Diva has stopped biting... she went on a 6 month biting spree, I was so upset I had my women's group at church praying about it... I think its a communication thing. WC is intelligent enough to know "think" what she wants to get across, but we "others" aren't smart enough to understand.
This too shall pass... I promise!
