The Bandage is Off

Well, the bandage is off. Mr. Sasha found it on the floor in the living room on Saturday afternoon.

So we've gone from this:

To this:

I'm still not convinced that all her thrashing around in the recovery room didn't mess up the dermabond. But we're going to see the doctor tomorrow so we shall see what he says. Tomorrow we'll discuss scar care and I'm sure they have us do something to minimize scarring.

Either way, looks like we'll be doing another surgery to remove the remaining scar tissue. I can't imagine not finishing what we started.

It is amazing to me to see how much they removed.

I'll update tomorrow night!

Something so much in the forefront of your mind now will soon be just a memory. I'm sure you will be relieved once the surgeries are all over! I'm thinking about you and Wild Child:) Hang in there!

I also think it looks pretty darn good. Will be so interested to hear what the doctors say . . .

It will look completely different a year from now. It's amazing how fast things heal on kids.

New to your blog and laughing so much> I am a fellow runner, baker (not cook, I mean if you screw up baking - it is still sugar so whats not to like?) and our middle child had a large 2 inch hemangioma above her left eyebrow.

I am so glad to see the progress they have made in treating them. My daughter is now 12 years old and it is barely noticeable. We have had to contend with some unwelcomed "public opionion" regarding the birthmark when she was younger. I remember well the man at the airport who offered his unsolicited opionion and I offered to remove his lips . - But that's another story ( One my husband refers to as a "proud wife moment)
Anyway wishing you continued success!!
