P90X?

Does anyone know anything about P90X?

Mr. Sasha is convinced that he needs this. Just like he "needed" Windsor Pilates......

I will of course google it, but just wondered if anyone I "know" via this blog might have personal experience.

It's funny you say he needs it. Mr. Smoochiefrog swears he needs that dang GTExpress grill thing. Whatever dude.

In all honesty, I've wanted to try it. I need to lose some weight first though. Plus, we don't have a pull-up bar in our house. :(

I am doing Jillian's 30 day shred though. Um, yeah.

OMG... I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my windsor pilates. Best midnight drunk purchase EVER. It's the only thing that's made me look like I actually HAVE a butt.

Sorry, I don't know anything about that other system. Just wanted to comment on my undying love of the windsor pilates. :)

I have never seen this before. Hope my hubby doesn't see this or I'm sure it will be a NEED at my house.
On a side note...I made your sopapilla cheesecake last night. It was a big hit at home and at work.

Just like Windsor Pilates, I'm guessing they work better if you use them as actual exercise aids and not coasters or clothing racks.

I should try that sometime.

I have Power 90, the one before P90X. It is a good workout. I'm sure we'd get the awesome results it says we should if we did it like we were supposed to. I own practically every exercise program out there! I have to buy them! My latest is Turbo Jam and I LOVE it!

LOL, I don't know anything about it, but my DH spent $80 on a jumprope recenty. In all fairness, it included a book and a DVD and the guy who designed it is the official jumprope trainer of the Olympics or something. But still....

Man, I need to write a blog post about the most expensive jumprope in the world.

I'll be hiding this blog post from him.

Hot Police Boy is "needing" the same darn thing! He's slightly obsessed.

My husband needed it, too. He found it online and downloaded it so we didn't have to pay the insane price for it. He tried it once and it literally kicked his butt. He gave up when he started training for the marathon, but I'm sure he'll be back to it when he's done with the race.

Oh this is so funny....I love the infomercial for the P90x and Windsor Pilates. I don't have either, but I feel skinnier when I watch.

I have P90X. It is fabulous...but a lot of work. I got it a year ago. I skipped the diet..I have to eat cake or I might not make it through the day so I don't diet. I did the work out 5 days a week and you are supposed to do it 6-7. I also skipped a few of the videos. I only did the ones I liked. That kenpo stuff will knock you off your feet.

Anyways...with all the changes I made it still did help me alot. I am not a big person, never have been, but in August of last year I was at 124...the heaviest I have ever been. By December I got down to 111. All because of P90X. And I did not even do it right.

It is such a variety of workouts to do so you don't get bored so easily. But is is not something you will do for more than 6 months. It is 50 minutes to over an hour 6 days a week. It really tones you though. I still do some of the moves. And I love love love the ab workout. I am at 114 now and happy with that. I still work out 5 days a week but for just 45 minutes. But before hitting the treadmill I still do some of the P90X moves. And I did manage to keep my P90X abs!!

I think my biggest complaint was that I had to watch the dvd. I like to watch tv while I work out. You will also want to be sure you have hand weights and a yoga mat.

This workout is made for men so you will have to alter some of the moves unless you are superwoman. Check out there website www.beachbody.com and look at slim in 6. That is the girl one. I want that one...but I think I will save that for after I have a baby.

Sorry for the long comment...

If you stick to it you will love it.

If you try want to try some new workouts you should go to You Tube. When I need an extra boost I look up 8 minutes abs or 8 minute buns on there. The whole work out is there. Remember the key to getting in shape is variety...so you have to mix it up. I think I learned that from P90X. LOL!!!

Okay...I promise this is my last comment. I forgot to mention that my DH had to have P90X and I was furious that he paid what he did for and used it once. So that is why I started to use it. I was not going to pay that price and have it sit in the closet. He still does not use it. LOL!!

I used P90X last year and loved it. I still use a lot of the stuff that I learned in the program in my own fitness classes. It is tough and it is time consuming. It works but you have to be willing to put in a lot of effort from 60-90 minutes a day, 6 days a week if you're going to follow the program guidelines. It's circuit training that switches DVDs daily and switches those used weekly every month so you'll never be bored doing them. Sore but not bored. =)
