If You Take a 6 Year Old To Walmart
If you take a 6 year-old to Walmart, he is sure to find lots of interesting things to add to the cart.
The Politician saw these out of the corner of his eye yesterday and got super-excited, and of course I agreed to purchase them, seeing as how they were ADORABLE.
The marshmallows are like those you find in cereals, which I love, and of course there are both chocolate and honey graham fish.
Like any good snacker, we opened the package up on the way home and indulged. I was a little worried about the nutrition info, but I just looked it up and 54 pieces is 3 points, which is not bad at all.
Yum.

Secret: Fabulous Homemade Pizza
Do you know about these fabulous pizza pans? Until very recently, I did not and always lamented that my pizza crust never quite baked right- it was never the same crispness in the middle as it was on the edges.
Some friends invited us over for pizza one night and let us in on the secret: these pans!
We don't have a Williams-Sonoma locally, but I picked up a similar pan at Target last week and I am so glad I did! What a difference! I am sold and will never go back to regular pizza pans.

Yummy Find at Sam's: Golden Grahams Treats

Golden Grahams Treats: Chocolate Marshmallow
O. M. G., these are beyond fabulous. 3 points, and pretty big. What a great way to start my day! I picked up a giant box at Sam's because I knew just from looking at the picture I'd love them.
I think these are a product re-work, becuase I remember eating these in the past, but they weren't this yummy back then......

GDA: Lean Cuisine at Target
This week Target is having a fabulous deal on Lean Cuisine and Lean Pockets.
Purchase three Lean Cuisine One Dish Favorite meals for $2 each and get a free package of Lean Pockets! Basically, you get four frozen items for $1.50 each! And if you eat the Lean Pockets individually, as I do, it's actually just $1 per meal.
My current favorite Lean Cuisine is Pasta Romano with Bacon. Nom Nom. It's divine- aside from a few large chunks of tomato I picked out, I ate the entire thing! Don't read the reviews on the LC site- there are some crazy people saying it tasted too much like bacon. Hello! "Bacon" is in the title!
Current Lean Pocket flavors I am digging: Whole Grain-Garlic White Chicken Pizza, Whole Grain-Meatballs & Mozzarella, Cheeseburger, Chicken Parmesan, and Mexican Style-Chicken & Cheese. Yay for no veggies!
Oh, and anonymous, if you are still out there and plan on griping at me for not liking veggies, don't bother. We don't care for that around these parts.

I Must

have these. Hungry Girl told me about them yesterday and I can't quit thinking about them. How good do these Cinnabon Snack Bars look? I think they'd be worth the 3 WW points.

Terrible News for Shred It or Dread It

I just found out that Braum's has 9 new flavors, including Light Pomegranate Cheesecake and Pomegranate Sherbet. And I have been told they are fabulous. This is a problem.
We will be going there after tball tonight I am sure (my car will just veer off the road into the parking lot against my will, definitely) so I will report back on their tastiness tomorrow.
Nutritionally, they are not that bad- 120 and 140 calories respectively for a half-cup, but I'm afraid it will be the re-occurrence of my purchasing that will do me and my desired hot body in.

GDA: Target

Target has the 20 oz Vitamin Water 10s on sale for $1.02. Combine that with the $1 off coupon from last Sunday's paper, and you've got a free drink!
I got the XXX (triple berry or some such) and it's fabulous.

Also, Target has some of their Pace speciality salsas on sale for $1.99. Combine that with the $1 off coupon that was in last Sunday's paper, and you've got fabulous salsa for 99 cents!
My personal favorite is Tequila Lime.

NYC Report #2
Ok, two things got marked off my NYC to-do list. I can go home happy.
At Pinkberry, I had the Pomegranate with white chocolate shavings. OMG----- best thing I ever had. And low calorie! I could eat this for every meal.
And at the Magnolia Bakery, I had a red velvet cupcake with whipped vanilla frosting. Fabulous.

Chili's Guiltless Grill

Yesterday I went to lunch with my dear friend Heather to celebrate her birthday. We were having a hard time deciding where to go when I remembered the BzzAgent Chili's Guiltless Grill campaign I was in. BzzAgent had provided me with coupons to try items off their new menu for free! All six entrees have less than 750 calories and are served with steamed seasonal veggies and Parmesan cheese.
Heather and I braved the extremely windy and cold and rainy day and went to Chili's at 11:30. We were seated immediately, which was nice since we were hungry!
We had several items to choose from, but Heather and I both ended up choosing the Guiltless Buffalo Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
Here's the description from Chili's webpage: Grilled chicken breast topped with low-fat Ranch, shredded lettuce, tomato and sauteed onions. Or kick it up with our traditional Buffalo spicy wing sauce. Served on a whole wheat bun. $7.79
We both agreed that our sandwiches were fabulous! The ranch and buffalo sauce together made for a spicy, but not too spicy, kick for the chicken. Since I am not a veggie fan, Heather decided she liked the broccoli so much she'd enjoy mine too!
I still have two coupons left to try one of these entrees for free, and I'd love to give them to one of my readers! Leave a comment on this post and I'll choose a winner on Monday at 8 pm CST.
One quick thing: You need to be a follower to enter. Last time I did a giveaway, a link ended up on a random giveaway site, and lots of people I didn't know entered. I want this to be a fair reward for reading Sasha Says, so please don't enter if you aren't a follower, because I will delete your comment.
Good luck!

A Little Too Late
Last night when I got home from work, I checked our Call Notes, and we had a message.
"Hello. This is Sam's Club calling. We noticed you purchased some of the recalled Austin Peanut Butter Crackers, and wanted to make sure you knew these were not safe to eat. Blah blah blah."
Too bad they didn't call before I tried to poison my son.

Dear Little Debbie,
Can you make your 100 Calorie Snow Puffs sans coconut? That would be a healthier version of your Marshmallow Supremes, which I love dearly and I swear I would buy a million packages if you would just make them. Here's my justification: I don't ever hear anyone saying, "Gee, do you know what I'm craving? Coconut!" Chocolate maybe, but never coconut. Coconut is yucky and gets stuck in your teeth.
Let's just leave it off....

Dear Lean Cuisine,
Got an idea for you guys.
Lean Cuisine, right now you've got your meals organized into neat little categories like Spa Cuisine, Casual Eating, and Dinnertime Selects- which I think was a fabulous idea.
Lean Cuisine, right now you've got your meals organized into neat little categories like Spa Cuisine, Casual Eating, and Dinnertime Selects- which I think was a fabulous idea. But would it be possible for you to cater a little more to people like me? People who don't eat veggies, yet still want to try to eat within a healthy calories range?
How about a "Picky Eaters" line? Then I wouldn't have to pick off the red peppers and tomatoes from my Pesto Chicken Flatbread Melt, which is absolutely yummy once I've removed those little red offenders.
And my mom and I loved your Chicken a l'Orange until you added broccoli years back. And I absolutely crave the Sesame Chicken, but I hate picking those damn green beans out!
I also ran into a little issue with the Chicken Club Panini yesterday. I was trying to pick out the tomatoes, but kept accidentally picking off the bacon- unacceptable! I love bacon!

I know there are more people like me- I know this because a few of them work here in my office and we laugh (and cuss) about this as we are doctoring our meals in the breakroom at lunchtime.
So if you wouldn't mind creating a new line just for us, we'd be ever-thankful. And I'd do a blog post about it to get the word out!

New Drink Find
Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash tastes a little bit like an alcoholic drink. That's just what I need right now, so it's really hitting the spot. I've got a cranky copier and 25 copies of a very large document to print.

I'm No Cook, But I Can Make Dessert!
Michelle writes: I'm a lurker and have been for a while...totally off the current subject, but I made your sopapilla cheesecake for bunco last night, and it was a total hit! Do you have any other yummies to share?
Oh, Michelle, a girl after my own heart- another sweet lover!
Another one of my faves (and my co-workers) is Neiman Marcus Bars. Who knows if that's what they are really supposed to be called, and they are nothing like that $250 cookie recipe in case you are wondering. But that's what we call them here in these parts. They are actually little pieces of heaven.
I am also obsessed with Cake Balls, although I have never made them myself since I have a fab coworker I can always talk into making them. However, I found a recipe I am trying soon- Red Velvet Cake Balls! Made with cream cheese frosting!!!!!! That was worth a lot of exclamation points.

Chex Mix Bars
Y'all- the new Chex Mix Bars (Turtle flavor) ROCK!I first read about them on Hungry Girl a few weeks ago (sign up for the emails!) and had been keeping my eye out for them. There they were at Sam's on Saturday so I picked up a giant box because Hungry Girl said I'd like 'em.
She was right!
These are only two WW points, and are both sweet and salty and truly delicious.
If you are on Operation Skinny Bitch like me, this is a perfect smart snack.

Today for Breakfast

I just had an Eggo Bake Shop Swirlz in Cinnamon (and yesterday I had Strawberry) and these are fabulous. Very decadent and they taste sinful!
I first read about them on Hungry Girl last week, and at only 3 WW points, they sounded like a smart choice for my sweet tooth. I found them at SuperTarget and of course a box of each flavor jumped in my cart.
I haven't told the kids about them yet- I'm going to save them for myself!

God, Thank You For Steve the A/C Man
That was part of my prayers last night.
Steve the A/C Man came to our house about 8:30 pm and got us all fixed up by 9:30. The $300 we spent will be subtracted from the roofing bill.

For dinner last night I had the very nutritious dinner of two Mike's Light Hard Cranberry Lemonades and about half a bag of Garden Salsa Sun Chips, which you must try if you have not. They are fab! Mr. Sasha graciously took them away from me and almost finished the rest of the bag as his bedtime snack.
I'm home with WC today, who is feeling just fine except for the little red volcanoes all over her torso. Since I had to cancel the cleaning lady coming today, she is helping me with chores, which is making things take twice as long.
I talked to the surgery scheduling nurse this morning, and she said she has to find out from the doctor how long we have to wait after WC gets over the chicken pox before she can go under general anesthesia. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Kiss My Ass Hershey
It's been a super-crazy week, what with throw-up-fest going on and all, so I just now got to sit down and look through the CVS and Walgreens circulars to see what deals I can't miss out on.And what do I find, but a new Hershey Kiss variety....
And it's "filled with Marshmallow", which just happens to be one of my most favorite sweet things evah.
Crap.
Guess I'll have to stop by Wags tomorrow and pick some up. Will you all come over and help me eat them so I can get back on the road to healthy living faster?
