My Newest Award: Bad Mommy 2009

Oh hell.

Yesterday, Mr. Sasha had to do the Walk of Shame. The one that tells the world "We forgot to have extra clothes for WC at school. We are sucky parents who can't get organized enough to bring spare clothes to put in her cubby."

Poor WC spilled her milk in her lap at breakfast, and had to wear these for the rest of the day.

Oh, and it says the same thing down the front of the left leg.

I totally get that they want you to bring these pants back, but shit, you can't even go to the grocery store on the way home!

And today, oh today. Thursday is Show and Tell in the Hoppin' Pre-K, and for the second week in a row the Sashas forgot. The Politician's face fell when he walked in to class and realized it.

So we headed to the van to see what we could come up with. Part of the fun is that the kids take the item in a non-see-through bag and the rest of the class asks 20 questions to see if they can guess what it is in the bag.

It remains to be seen if he'll even remember what it is when S&T time rolls around, but he's the proud owner of an ice scraper. That's really old and ratty looking. And probably at least 15 years old.

Poor guy.

We suck.

Oh man, is that all! LoL

I hate forgetting show and tell... the kids are so devastated. As for the spilled milk, no use crying over it :p I am sure no one would know what it meant but you if you went to the store... and besides, it's not like YOU had to wear them. Then people might think YOU had an accident hahahahaa

This is funny stuff! Unfortunately, you do not get to win this award. Oh no..this award goes to the parents that send their child to school in the same stinky dirty (as in DIRT on the clothes) items of clothing several days a week, or the parents that leave their poor sick child sitting in the nurse's office b/c they "forgot" that they were supposed to pick them up, or my personal favorite...the parents that come to conferences DRUNK. They so beat you at getting this award! So Sorry! =)

Ugh, I have forgotten Show and Tell once and it's not pretty. The worst was when I forgot the valentine's. He had been sick the whole week prior and the exchange wasn't on V-Day. This year we're going all OUT on V-Day!

Gosh, I have received this award before as well...we really shouldn't beat ourselves up though b/c we really are good parentals!
Isn't it an awful feeling to forget something they need for school? Makes me feel sad.
I think the pink pants WC had to wear are HOT, he he!

What is it with those clothes closet clothes? It's almost like they set out to humiliate the kids. I got a call about my kindergartener having an accident one day... she flat out refused the fashion offerings from the school nurse so I HAD to go take a change of clothes to school.

Not bad parents! just parents! =)

Wait til he's a little older and you forget to pick him up from something, like say, school. Then you'll know humiliation! LOL.

Those pants are bad! I get where they're coming from, but it looks like a bit much!

I'm not a mom yet, but I can totally see myself forgetting that it's show and tell day! Don't feel bad!

Are they that hard up to where they have to label their extra clothes with sharpies?

Really?

I could totally challenge you for that award. I've had some doozies.
