The Great Jeans Problem

Oh, holiday weight. You're pissing me off.

For a few months I've been acting like I haven't gained any weight and have been squeezing myself into the same pair of jeans that just barely fit. Quite a few pair have been scooted to the back of the closet and are getting dusty. Sadness.

And then a few weeks I did it- I opened The Rubbermaid Tote of Too Big Clothes. And I took out a few pair of jeans. And they fit. Shit. But they weren't very stylish since they are a few years old.

So I finally admitted to myself that it's time to buy some jeans in the size I actually need right now. And since I don't plan on being at this weight for very long, I don't want to spend a lot.

So I went to Wally World and tried on the famous jeans I blogged about in the past. Only I don't like them on me right now. Don't like them at all anymore- even in the correct size.

So I kept looking and found some even better jeans. I can't find a picture online, but girls, these jeans are fabulous.

Riders Boot Cut Mid-Rise in Dark Vintage. Style # 130706S for $16.92.

Now, I got the medium length and for some reason this is fine with flats, so you may want to go the tall route if you are taller than 5'2".

Hopefully I'll be back in the dusty jeans soon. And hopefully they'll still be in style.

ooooooooooh. thanks for the heads-up on these! I am hauling around not only holiday weight gain but also this ridiculous baby (toddler?) weight. She's sixteen months old now. Seriously? Gross. Taking my booty back to WW, but in the mean time, I could use a $17 pair of jeans to get me through.

Jeans. Crazy jeans, I hate trying on jeans...they're mean sometimes. I gained 3 pounds over the holidays and my favorite jeans are a bit snug, it's amazing what a pound or three can do. Eeeek!

I wish someone would come up with some really awesome jeans that weren't Crazy ass expensive...like around 45.00-65.00 That would be a nice jean line I think.

I agree with Katy, I wish someone would come up with AMAZING jeans around the 50.00 price range!

That's why I love my Gap stretchy jeans. Granted, they may be from a few years back, but they always seem to fit! The longer I wear them, the looser they get.

I hate that jeans problem! :( So annoying! Hope you find some that work soon and that don't break the bank!

Show me a female that didn't gain ANY WEIGHT between Thanksgiving and Christmas and I'll show you a liar. I've decided to boycott all holidays that involve eating and eating in general. It's OOC! (out of control)

Let us know when the "dusting" party is~

Cool Cheap Jeans. I could do with some. If only I could find the WalMart here...really the last time I tried the GPS brought me to a park. These Oregon Greenies are against WalMart and it's killin' me. I think I might just die from Wal Mart withdrawal :P

Sasha, Remind me to tell you about this great consignment store near our hometown. You can get designer jeans in the $20-$50 dollar range. The great thing about buying gently used is that have been washed multiple times and if you try them on and they fit, there are no worries.

I found some jeans at Kohl's recently that had the "slimming panel". I got them for $19.
