Just Playing for Keeps was an absolute delight! Grumpy/sunshine will always be my favorite trope, but I loved seeing our grumpy male lead Lake have such a sweet spot for our heroine Remy. Fake dating is always so fun and I love seeing couples gradually realize they are experiencing the real thing! The chemistry and banter between the couple was so fun. Narrators Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke were so well-cast- I especially thought Clarke's gruff voice fit Lake perfectly.

My Kind of Guy by Sarina Bowen

I'm going to admit something- everything I know about ice hockey I learned from reading books by Sarina Bowen! This was a fun grumpy/sunshine MM hockey romance. Goalie Beck was such a awkward quirky mess and he was just such a great guy and it was so fun watching him succeed on the ice. Single dad bar owner Forest has not been lucky in love so he's a bit hesitant and closed-off, but meeting Beck brought him out of his shell. His son Charlie was such a great character and stole quite a few scenes! I listened to the audiobook narrated by Teddy Hamilton (perfection!) and Brandon Francis and their performances were top-notch and this was a great listen.

Between Now and Forever checked off so many boxes for me- Jay and Gabrielle's grumpy/sunshine, neighbors-to lovers-story was so enjoyable. The characters and dialog felt so authentic and believable. Their slow burn romance felt real and honest and I adored Gabrielle's friends. I listened to the audiobook, and narrators Oliver Clarke and Rachel Vivette were excellent. Both were new to me, and I enjoyed their performances so much that I'll be seeking out more of their work.

Fans of the Wildcat Hockey series have been (im)patiently waiting on Jack and Everly's story, and it was absolutely worth the wait! What a fantastic ending to the series this was! The grumpy/sunshine banter was on point, the chemistry was fantastic, and this was just all-around a joy to read.

The Romance Line was super fun! The romance between grumpy hockey goalie Max and sunshine team PR employee Everly was such a delight. I listened to the duet style audiobook and Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton were fantastic. I loved seeing Max's softer side (he's fostering a KITTEN and it's just adorable!) and seeing Everly navigate her workplace romance felt authentic. I am loving this series and looking forward to more Sea Dogs.

When I saw that one of my favorite authors, Jessica Peterson, was going to do a series based on a ranch in Texas, I was immediately in since I grew up in a small Oklahoma town just a few hours north of Texas. Cash was just as great as I hoped it would be and now I am so excited for the Lucky River Ranch series. Grumpy/sunshine is my all-time favorite trope, and this was a fantastic take on it. The banter was on point and I loved sassy Mollie and cowboy Cash together.
