I'm going to admit something- everything I know about ice hockey I learned from reading books by Sarina Bowen! This was a fun grumpy/sunshine MM hockey romance. Goalie Beck was such a awkward quirky mess and he was just such a great guy and it was so fun watching him succeed on the ice. Single dad bar owner Forest has not been lucky in love so he's a bit hesitant and closed-off, but meeting Beck brought him out of his shell. His son Charlie was such a great character and stole quite a few scenes! I listened to the audiobook narrated by Teddy Hamilton (perfection!) and Brandon Francis and their performances were top-notch and this was a great listen.

The Last Guy On Earth by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen has long been a DEAR (Drop Everything and Read- I'm a child of the 70s!) author for me and I always enjoy her hockey romances. Clay and Jethro were both fantastic, well-developed characters, and I especially loved Jethro's relationship with his nephew. This audiobook, narrated by Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding, was so well done.

New Audiobook Release Review: I'm Your Guy by Sarina Bowen

 

I'm Your Guy by Sarina Bowen

I'm Your Guy is the second book in author Sarina Bowen's Hockey Guys series and we meet hockey player Tommaso and interior designer Carter. I enjoyed their grumpy/sunshine relationship and how much effort Carter put in to making Tommaso's place a home and getting it ready for a holiday visit from his ailing mom. Although at first glance it seemed that the two men didn't have much in common, it turned out that they were each what the other needed and fit so well into each other's lives. Although this book reads well as a standalone, it was nice to see Hudson and Gavin from the first book in the series. I listened to the audiobook and was excited to hear two of my favorite narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan. Both gave excellent performances. I listened at 1.3X and found it to be perfectly conversational.

The New Guy by Sarina Bowen

Yay for a new hockey series from one of my favorite authors, Sarina Bowen! The New Guy was just fantastic, and once I started the audiobook, I didn't want to stop. I was excited to see that Teddy Hamilton was one of the narrators, along with new-to-me J.F. Harding, and the performances of both were captivating and added so much to the story. Gavin and Hudson were such a great couple, and I adored Jordyn, Gavin's daughter. She was such a great little hockey fan. Looking forward to reading more hockey romance- Bowen has already announced the next book in the series, I'm Your Guy.
