NYC Report #5- Broadway!

If you know the Sashas, you probably know we're just not very cultured. We like our beer, trash TV, and jeans and we don't see a lot of movies that win Academy Awards. Plus most of the TV shows we like get cancelled, so I'm not all that sure about our taste.

So I just didn't think a traditional Broadway show would be the way for us to go- at least not our first time in NYC.

I talked the hubs into seeing Rock of Ages- and we had a fabulous time! Any show that serves beer, plays 80s hair band rock, and hands you a lighter (fake, but still) on your way in- that's my kind of show!

It's very tongue-in-cheek, and they totally make fun of themselves and it just works. It can be a little raunchy and has some risque language, but, hey, who cares? It's not like I'd take P and WC....

So if you happen to be in NYC, be sure and check it out. If you are music fan or above the age of 30 and you remember the music of the 80s, this is your kind of show!

I'm just getting ready to board the plane for my first trip to NYC! Hubby and I are going to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Totally wanted to talk him into this show, but already have tickets for South Pacific and he thinks 2 shows is 1 too many. :)

The last time I saw an academy award winning movie, I fell asleep in the theater. ;) Glad you had fun!
