Because I Know You Are Dying To Know This

I hate packing.

The whole thing stresses me out. How am I going to decide? How am I going to make it all fit? What if something gets beyond wrinkly and I can't fix it on vacay? Wah...... I haven't even thought about shoes yet.

10 extra pounds on my frame isn't helping because I can't wear my favorite clothes right now. But that's another issue for another day.

The hubs and I are headed to NYC tomorrow. I'm excited, but the whole packing debacle is ruining it for me. Also, our luggage is no where to be found, which should make for a fun evening of placing blame and most likely a quick trip to buy some too-expensive luggage.

On another note, any tourist tips for NYC? Can't miss places?

I am just the opposite. I will lay out clothes for weeks before a trip. I even plan my outfits on paper according to the itinerary...YUP TOTAL OCD! ha.

I hate packing, too. This will be the 3rd out of the last 4 weekends that we have packed up both kiddos and headed to OK. Sigh.

For NY.... see all the usual sights and then shop! ;) IF you end up in Soho... there's a cool place if you like french onion soup called Bathazar's. I'll email you the site. Also, Tao is good, but it used to be hard to get into... Mmmm, and Il Mulino is good, too.
Can you tell that I've mostly EATEN my way thru NYC? ;) I have a few more - I'll email you!

I took a boat tour when I visited. It was neat because you get to sit and see everything from the water. lol I had my 6 year old with me and it was a way for me to see things without dragging him around. lol

Time Square was fun also. If you go there look for the naked cowboy. lol

There is this cool restaurant near broadway where the staff sings showtunes while they wait tables. It is a fun place...I think, I was trying really hard to remember...it is the Stardust Diner. Also H&M is a cool three story store there, it is in other places but no where near me here in Nashville!

Just found your blog. I can relate to the packing, wardrobe, and travel stress, but hope you're having a blast exploring NYC! It's a shopaholic paradise!

Eat, shop, and be merry!

PS I tweaked the template you're using for my Ms. Moto makeover. Mine's also 3 column, but I removed the gray stripes on the right sidebar among other goodies. My passion is giving away free blog design tricks and treats and sharing blog makeover madness! Just started my blogs. Stop on by!

Have a great time! It's crazy pricey, but if you like sushi, the absolute best sushi I've ever had in my life in any city in the world was at Blue Ribbon Sushi.
