Have You Heard About?

The Love Dare
I saw this at Sam's yesterday and picked it up.
I know, I know. You want to say, "Sasha, you always have grand plans for things that are 'projects'. You often buy things like this, read a few chapters, then get busy and they get pushed to the side. Remember 100 Pushups?????"
Yeah, yeah. Don't you judge me! I totally finished the Couch to 5K Plan!
And I think this is different. This looks cool. It's a 40 day program and the back of the book says "The Love Dare is a journey you need to take. It's time to learn they keys to finding true intimacy and developing a dynamic marriage. Take the dare!"
So I think I will. I think Mr. Sasha and I have a great relationship, but life is crazy these days with Mr. Sasha's biz, my job, two small children, and countless other things. I think I could use some reminders to put things in perspective and make our marriage "Fireproof".
It's about 2 pages per day to read, complete with relevant scripture and a dare. Today's dare: "For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything."

Got it and am already on day 7. :)

Have you seen the movie yet? Cheesy but awesome at the same time!

Sounds cool. I'll try it with you. I definitely need help in the patience area.:)

If you haven't seen the movie "Fireproof" yet, go out and see it NOW! :) They do the Love Dare in that movie, and it's really powerful. Plus, Kirk Cameron is in it, and my little Tiger Beat heart still pounds for him!

That sounds good (although I could do without the scripture part - I am catholic, I have faith but its just more of a personal thing, kwim?) I'm all for something to strengthen a relationship!

It's funny that Kate said that about the scriptures. The main character says the exact same thing in the movie.

It's pointed out to him how much the scriptures help the process.

Good stuff!
