I read (and loved!) Hit the Spot by J. Daniels - Author and I finished the audiobook this weekend and it was FANTASTIC! Sebastian York was perfectly cast as Jamie McCade!

Here's my 5 star review:

Jamie McCade is a stubborn rascal with a filthy mouth, and he's pretty much amazing. And Tori's having the WORST time convincing herself she's not into him. I loved their back and forth argue-flirting, and enjoyed that fact that he was so into her that he waited so long for her to realize it too. Enemies-to-lovers is such a fun trope! J. Daniels is a pro at fun, sexy reads and Hit the Spot did not disappoint. The narration by Sebastian York and Kate Russell was fantastic!

Oh this was fun! I especially loved how spunky country music star Kelly was and how annoyed she got at her brother for hiring the grumpy bodyguard Xander for her! After meeting Xander in book 1 of the Cherry Tree Harbor series, I was excited to get to know him better, and he was perfection. It was also fun to catch up with Veronica and Austin again. Hideaway Heart was spicy and swoony and the banter was *chef's kiss*.

I really enjoyed Gone Tonight- I tore through it on a trip stranded at the airport and found it to be a fantastic distraction. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat and having the chapters alternate between mother and daughter worked exceptionally well with this storyline. Some of the twists and turns I didn't see coming, which always makes for a fun read.

I listened to an early audio copy, and Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were fantastic as Hayes and Hattie! The Way I Hate Him was much more emotional than I expected and our FMC Hattie and her siblings were dealing with such a difficult loss. Although author Meghan Quinn's signature laugh out loud moments were there, there were also many moments of sadness and I truly felt Hattie's grief and could see why closure was going to be very difficult for her. I adored the quirky small town setting of Almond Bay. At first, I was quite worried when we met Hayes as a rockstar playboy, and was so glad when he turned out to be an excellent guy in the end. Hattie's best friend and her brother and sister are characters with great potential and I am so hopeful that we get to see them in future books.

I just finished the audiobook for Plays Well With Others and it was a DELIGHT! Author Lauren Blakely's trademark witty banter and chemistry was spot-on and I was immediately pulled in to professional football player Carter and jewelry shop owner Rachel's friends-to-lovers story. Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are favorites of mine, and they were perfectly cast. I enjoyed every moment start to finish!

My review: 5 stars!

Oh my goodness! I went in totally blind (and I recommend you do too!) and I was blown away by this story! Beck is my favorite type of hero- no time for a relationship until he meets THE ONE and then he is ALL IN. I loved Nora's sassiness and the relationship she had with Beck's grandmother was just fantastic. This is probably my favorite Vi Keeland book of all time, but that might change with her next release because I adore her writing.

I was so excited when I saw that author Jillian Dodd was starting a new series and that it would be the kids of characters from her Keatyn series attending school at Eastbrooke Academy! I jumped at the chance to back the project on Kickstarter. The new characters are so fun and so is the drama, friendships, and romance and even the school itself! The end of the book made me so hungry for the next book in the series- I cannot wait!

Aside from romance, domestic thrillers and suspense novels are my favorite genre and What the Neighbors Saw really delivered. I found myself hooked from the start and finished in just 2 days. I love when I don't see a twist coming! Told through the alternating POVs of 2 women, the story was engaging and entertaining. Looking forward to author Melissa Adelman's next release.

I really enjoyed Asher and Phoebe's romance. I especially loved Olivia, Asher's young daughter, and it was great to see she and nanny Phoebe form such a bond right from the beginning. The author did a great job presenting Olivia's hearing impairment and her use of ASL. There was such heat between Asher and Phoebe, and I really liked how the author had the characters deal with a difficult situation they were presented with.

Before I dove in to Flaunt, I just knew Banks would be one of my favorite Carmichael brothers, and I am so glad I was right! He is so silly and goofy but still has such a soft, swoony side to him too. He and Sara had such great banter and jokes and I just smiled so much. And I just have to say- I love the Carmichael family!
