One Moment Please is simply FLAWLESS! This series has been so fun and Amy Daws has such a talent for mixing hilarity with heart-tugging romance. Lynsey was such a hoot- such a take-charge woman with the most darling awkwardness. I knew that gruff and closed-off doctor Josh would be redeemed somehow, but had not idea how touching his story would be. Although the first two books in this series of interconnected standalones were fantastic, One Moment Please is my favorite- it's just perfection and a must-read.

Bachelor Boss was just what I needed during this crazy quarantine time! It was light-hearted and hilarious. I adored Spencer and found Philip (and his dog Humphrey) to be a hoot. The set-up for this workplace romance was unique- they are paired to share an office while half of the floor is being re-carpeted. The banter (and internal dialog) between these two was an absolute riot. I loved this quirky story and my only criticism would be that it took a bit longer than I usually like for the first kiss to take place. Once they connected, there were fireworks! Although Bachelor Boss is the second book in The Bachelors Club series, I can certainly vouch that it reads fine as a standalone, since I have not yet read the first book.

Love Game is the story of Kai, a talented tennis star, and Daisy, who has recently moved to Hawaii to study Reiki after suffering a terrifying encounter at her parents home. I have read a lot of sports romance, but Love Game was my first ever tennis story. Both characters are dealing with intense issues and they were able to help each other so much. Their chemistry was so intense from their first meeting and I enjoyed them together. Love Game was originally included in the Team Player 2 anthology, and this release includes an added epilogue that adds so much to the story- it flashes forward a bit and what we get to see is simply fantastic.

I discovered the writing duo Christina Lauren a few years ago through their Beautiful series, which is still a favorite. I found The Honey-Don't List to have a lighter, more rom-comy feel. With the popularity of married design/build married couples dotting the pop culture landscape these days, it was fun to read about a duo on the staff of one of those couples. Carey and James were so fun together and just plain charming, especially when framed again the backdrop of nightmare bosses Rusty and Mellie. After I read the book, I purchased the audiobook. Patti Murin and Jon Root were new-to-me narrators, and I found both fantastic. It appears that this is a first work for both of them on Audible and I definitely hope to hear more from them in the future. I listened at my typical 1.25X speed and it was perfect.
