I just don't think I could love Southern Bombshell more- it's such a fantastic conclusion to the North Carolina Highlands and the epilogue is *chef's kiss*. Blue Mountain Farm is such a magical place and Beauregard sister Milly's story was sweet perfection. After we got a glimpse of Nate Kingsley in earlier books in the series, I wasn't sure how this pairing would go. I do love a good family feud, but I enjoyed that Nate was decidedly NOT the villain the Beauregard brothers feared him to be. Full of steam, heart, and delicious food and drink, Southern Bombshell tied the perfect bow for me. A joy indeed!

Jessica Peterson's North Carolina Highlands series has been such a delight thus far, and I'm happy to say Southern Playboy fell in that camp as well. There are so many great tropes represented- single dad, nanny/boss, second chance and slow burn are all favorites of mine and so enjoyable here. The secret baby trope is not typically a favorite of mine, but the way the author handled the situation was new and refreshing and pretty darn fantastic. Toddler Liam absolutely stole the show for me, although I loved reading about Amelia and Rhett's second chance at love. Life is messy and never perfect, and compromise is necessary in relationships- seeing the main characters both come to this realization was so satisfying. Their journey felt authentic and real.

There's nothing I love more than a good redemption story, and by golly, Jessica Peterson totally redeemed Hank for me in this fantastic fake relationship tale. After Southern Sinner, he's totally my favorite Beauregard brother. Hank and Stevie's blackjack table meet-cute was fun and the Vegas backdrop was the perfect setting for their no-string-attached hookup. But of course who did Hank think of months later when he needed a volunteer girlfriend for his plan? It was fun seeing lines get blurred as fake turned into real- their chemistry was so real and so very hot. Jessica Peterson's writing is so delightful and I cannot wait for her next release.

Well, I am HERE for Samuel and Emma's romance! The author pitched it as "You've Got Mail meets Pride and Prejudice with a seriously sexy twist" and I totally agree! It was so fun. Enemies to lovers can be such a fun trope and I adored the dynamics between Samuel and Emma. This book has such fantastic descriptions of scenery and food and wine- I want to book a stay at Blue Mountain myself! I am really enjoying the Beauregard clan and am looking forward to more books in the series.

Bel and Beau are authentic and their deep friendship is #goals. The author deals with two serious issues with grace and dignity. And let me just say I am here for this new series focusing on Beau's family! I know it's going to be such a treat.
