A Trip to the Zoo

The past two Sunday afternoons, after naps, we've headed up to the zoo. The gates close at 5:00, but you can actually stay until dusk. There's practically no one there, and we've taken picnic dinners and had a fabulous time.

Right now we have two baby snow leopards, and they are precious.

But every single time I try to get a picture of the kids together, this is what happens.

The can't sit still long enough for me to even snap the pic. And I've got a Rebel, so there's no shutter lag time.

See? Still moving.

This one is funny because you can see WC in the background getting ready to pounce on P.

Yesterday I entered the kids in the Gap Casting Call. Now we've talked about this before-- don't go entering you own gorgeous kids and beating mine. Now, this isn't the pic of P that I entered since any pic you submit cannot have been "exhibited or displayed publicly through any means previously."

And yes, I know he needs a haircut. Can you come over and do it for me? I just don't have the energy for a greased pig contest.

I love the zoo! We have an awesome zoo here and we've only taken Abmeister once. I do think you should stop posting pictures of your children, they are just too damn cute!

We went to the zoo the other day, we have a membership and try to go all the time.

I also entered mine into the gap thing

I just wanted to let you know that I DIDN'T (cough, cough) just enter both of my kids into the Gap contest. But if one of them somehow wins (despite me NOT entering them, of course), I will be sure to give credit to the almighty Sasha!!

Hey Sasha, unrelated question. How did you get that pink 'S' to come up by your blog title instead of the standard orange blogspot icon?

because I said so said...

WC kills me and I love the zoo too. I only wish we lived closer.....2 1/2 hours to the closest zoo from my house and that's a heck of a car ride with the minis, is it worth it??

Oh, I hadn't even noticed your favicon until Rae pointed it out! It looks great!! Nice and simple so you can tell what it is. I don't know about you, but I tried to make mine more complex first ("CB" with a neat background) and ended up switching to something uber-simple because the "CB" was too hard to read once it got miniaturized.

Too cute! We live close to our city zoo, but it's not that fun.
