3 Column Template?

I think I would like to have a 3 column template.

Any ideas on good places to get one? I would like something simple like what I have now. No busy background or patterns- just a solid color.

I am finding some stuff on modifying the html myself, and I may give that a shot. Unless of course, someone has a simpler idea.

Have you tried www.thecutestblogontheblock.com? I know they mention 3-column designs, but I'm not familiar enough to know what it's all about! HTH!

You so should know that of course I know how to do it. :)

Go here and pick your template. There are 4 pages, so look through all before deciding. (The one that matches the layout you already have is on page 3.)

Once you decide, click download, copy the ENTIRE code and paste it into your edit HTML section on the blogger dashboard under layout. You'll be deleting the old code and replacing it with the new.

Hope that helps!

The link I'm going to give you is very similar to smoochiefrog's--3-column versions of the templates available on Blogger.

I use Minima White because I like to have a really basic template that I customize with color and graphics.

Now, you'll have to rebuild parts of your page, which sucks. If you Google "back up Blogger widgets" you can find sites telling you how to make it easier on yourself--but I couldn't figure it out, so I just rebuilt my blog roll, re-uploaded pics, etc.

Have fun!

An easy way to rebuild the parts of your site that will disappear is to C&P into Word. That's what I did way back when I had a Blogger site and switched to 3-columns.

Ok, that's funny.

Cause I'm in the process of switching mine to a 2-column. With a 3 column, it makes your pictures very small and hard to see.

Plus the font is smaller.

Hi,

The three column guide for Ms Moto is ready. Hope you will find it useful.

Just for the benefit of people who commented here...

When you upload a 3 column template for a blog already packed with many widgets, those widgets are lost most of the time. Though Blogger has a feature to re-arrange the widgets to the new sidebars, it is not that reliable.

Uploading a template for an already running blog is therefore dangerous. The safe option is to do it manually, by modifying the HTML. The step by step guides for three column conversions series, for example, has very simple instructions to do just that.

Here is a great blog template site that has 3 column templates. I used it when I created my blog and then I played with the html to customize it: http://www.finalsense.com/services/blog_templates/general_templates.htm
