New Audiobook Release Review: Love Overboard by Kandi Steiner

Love Overboard by Kandi Steiner is now live on audio!

Duet Narration performed by: Hannah Chiclana & Walker Williams

From USA Today, #1 Amazon, and BookTok bestselling author Kandi Steiner comes a sizzling, second-chance romance set on the high seas—perfect for fans of Below Deck and readers who crave angsty, high-stakes love stories.

Ember Reed is finally living her dream: chief stew on a Mediterranean superyacht, sun-kissed days at sea, and the star of Close Quarters, the hottest new reality TV show. But just as she finds her stride, the producers throw her a curveball—by hiring the one man who nearly sank her.

Finn Pearson was the one that got away. The boy who kissed her like they had forever, then left without a word. But now he’s the chef in her new crew, and the cameras are watching their every move, innocent, or not.

Even on a superyacht, there's nowhere to hide from the past. Every stolen glance, every whispered argument, every lingering memory threatens to ignite what never fully burned out. And as the tension spills into their day jobs, even the dinner service is spiraling into disaster.

They’ve crashed before… but could eight weeks at sea be their second chance to get it right? Or will it be the storm that finally sinks them for good?

My review: 5 stars!

You know what show I have never watched? Below Deck. Guess what show I have now added to my Library on YouTubeTV? Below Deck! I just didn't know what I was missing.

I was immediately drawn into Love Overboard and I could not stop listening! I loved the messy, angsty second chance romance between chef stew Ember and and chef Finn on the luxury yacht they worked on. And I loved the way the story gave us flashbacks into the past, and little sound effect that played on the audiobook whenever we got a flashback was such a great way of handling it. Narrators Hannah Chiclana & Walker Williams were new to me, but I enjoyed their performances so much.

New Release Review: The F List by Alessandra Torre

The F List
By Alessandra Torre

Synopsis

The internet’s two biggest celebs hate each other… they think.

There was a lot I did to get to this point, to get 42 million followers. Some of it I was proud of, most of it I wasn't.

There was a group of us, all internet celebrities, and everyone wanted in, which is how six of us ended up living in this mansion, a camera always on, the public always watching. Two months and nine carefully scripted TV episodes that would get us more of the three F’s we were desperately chasing.

Fame. Fortune. Followers.

I knew my role. I was Emma, the unlikeable one. The dark villain with the devious smile. The package of dynamite that would blow up any chance of peaceful living and harmony.

Cash knew his role. He was the good guy. The lovable one. The one that everyone, even the darkest cast member of them all, would fall in love with.

They were supposed to just be roles.
None of it was supposed to be real.

My heart didn't get that memo.

My review: 4.5 stars
What a fascinating story! I am old enough to have watched the premier seasons of MTV's The Real World and Road Rules and have been captivated by reality TV ever since. The F List Reads a bit like a documentary and the format really kept me engaged. It was so unique and fast-paced I didn't want to put it down. The epilogue was everything! Such a fun read.

I'm Watching

Whether or not you are a fan of the Bachelor franchise, you'll get a kick out of the online show Burning Love. There have been three episodes aired so far, and at around 8 minutes each, they are a must see. (If not just because Veronica Mars stars and the elimination ceremony features the repeated question "Will you accept my hose?")

Live on the Yahoo! Comedy Channel now, Burning Love follows fireman Mark Orlando (Ken Marino) as he searches for the perfect woman. The scripted comedy series features an impressive line up of comedic actors from film and television including Ken Marino, Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell, Michael Ian Black, Adam Scott and more.

Burning Love gives viewers a front row seat to the champagne toasts, candles, heartbreak, bubble baths, chocolate, choreography, hair extensions, roller skating, betrayal, spray-tans, and rainbows in the most romantic, comedic web series ever made.

And now turning out attention to real reality TV, Dance Moms starts back tonight! Oh how I love Abby Lee Miller!
