Author Meghan Quinn always delivers the most hilarious, chaotic, and unique romance tales, and Rules for the Summer was am absolute hoot! I listened to the multi-cast audiobook narrated by Stella Hunter, Shane East, Cassandra Medcalf, and Gary Furlong, and I can't stress enough how often I literally laughed out loud. Main characters Renley and Theo's confused-mixed-up meet cute is perfection and side characters Aunt Kitty and Rupert both had personalities that were adorably quirky and their presence made the book even better. What a fun summer read!

My review: 5 stars!

Main characters Max and Betty are both awkward and quirky in the most adorable way, and I adored this holiday romance! I listened to the audiobook, which was narrated with a full cast with Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor as the leads, and it was just fantastic and so enjoyable. I'm always in for a "plan" and Max and Storee's plan was over the top and a hoot and had me dying laughing. This was cozy and festive and has me ready for the holiday season.

I adore full-cast audiobooks, and I was so excited to see that both of the books in Lauren Blakely's Joy Delivered series had been revised and re-recorded in full-cast form! Both both are fantastic stories and the narrator performances are so so good! The full-cast narration adds so much to the books and no one does casting as well as Blakely does. Her choices are always perfection!

Author Lauren Blakely really treated her readers with this fantastic holiday romance! I loved the audiobook, narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor along with a full cast including listener favorites Andi Arndt, Connor Crais, Vanessa Edwin, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon just to name a few. Fake dating is always fun, and billionaire Wilder and employee Fable had such amazing chemistry and banter that had me giggling so many times. I adored Mac, Wilder's daughter, and she and Wilder's aunt were such great characters. I am never disappointed with a Lauren Blakely book or audiobook, and My Favorite Holidate has me totally in the holiday spirit!

Lauren Blakley is simply a magician- she can take all the tropes and make them fresh and engaging every single time! I adored watching Linc and Amy's friendship and relationship develop. There were so many real life book references dropped here and there in the book- so cool! Asking for a Friend is low-angst, super funny and fan-your-face hot. What a delight! I alternated between reading and listening to the audiobook, the latter of which was fantastic as all multi-cast Lauren Blakely audiobooks are. She absolutely sets the standard.

   

Excerpt:

“No. I was just getting the lowdown on office allergies.” He moves closer, leaning against the bar, looking like a tall drink of man. I break out my mental yardstick. Yup, I’m betting he’s over six feet. I’m going with six foot one. Which might even push him to a fifteen on the goes-to-ten babe-o-meter.

“So you’re on drinks detail,” I say, trying to sound all cool and casual, like I’m not busy sizing him up.

Not consumed with checking out his arms.

Not occupied admiring his blue eyes.

Not tied up enjoying his smile.
