Admittedly, I am CRAZY for baseball. It's absolutely my favorite sport, and Meghan Quinn's The Trade was perfection. Of her four recent baseball romance novels, this is my favorite and is actually my favorite book of 2020 so far too. Quinn certainly knows her baseball, and did a fantastic job writing about an unwanted player trade and the pain and drama it led to, both in the dugout and in the hero's personal life. I ate up every word! Cory was such a dream man- so sweet and kind and thoughtful and I loved how hard and fast he fell for Natalie, his teammate's brother. Luckily Natalie was not as over-the-top as her brother Jason, who we met in The Lineup (rest assured I do love him too!), but she was adorably quirky and fun and I enjoyed seeing more of their brother/sister relationship. The chemistry and banter between Cory and Natalie was fantastic and so swoon-worthy. This slow burn left me as impatient as the characters were and I loved every minute of their story- the payoff was worth it the journey. I am crossing my fingers that Quinn follows up with more baseball for her readers!

The Lineup was a Grand Slam for me! Our hero Jason is a gorgeous professional baseball player with a heart of gold. He's such a hoot too- loves to cook and has quite the sensitive side (and he doesn't mind that a bit), and although you never know what is going to come out of his mouth, you'll definitely be laughing. He and Dottie were such a great match, and their banter is perfection. I enjoyed every word of this book and felt it was an authentic and real story with flawless pacing. A must-read that will be on my Best of 2019 list.

My review: 4.5 stars!

OMG BASEBALL! I am a baseball fanatic (Go Cubs Go!) and this book was everything I loved about sports romance. It had a swoon-worthy hunky athlete hero with a heart of gold, a heroine who loves the sport just as much as the hero does, and sport details details details! Meghan Quinn is also a big baseball fan, and it was evident that she has a depth of knowledge of the sport. The Dugout was clocking in at a perfect 5 stars for me, but I felt the situation that arose after that between Carson and Milly was just too similar to the previous book in the series for me. I still absolutely recommend The Dugout- Carson and Milly are perfect together and I am still smiling thinking about them.

Yay for YA baseball goodness! Announcing Trouble had everything I love about YA- smart relatable characters (I loved both main characters!), witty banter, and fun chemistry. Amy Fellner Dominy certainly knows her baseball and I appreciated her attention to detail, and learned so much about announcing games too. This one was hit out of the park!

This book checked off all the boxes for me: friends to lovers, slow burn, and sport romance- all some of my favorites! Both Emory and Knox were fantastic leads, but Knox stole the show for me for sure. His wit and humor, how much time he spent courting Emory and being patient with her- SWOON. Meghan Quinn's trademark humor worked perfectly in this setting and the side characters were so good- Knox's mom was my fave. A fun ride for sure.

My review: 4.5 Perfect Game Stars
I was so excited to see that Kendra C. Highley was releasing another book in her Suttonville Sentinels series! Although I love all sports romance, baseball is my very favorite sport. Dylan and Lucy were both great characters, and I loved the banter between them as they got to know each other and tried to deny the chemistry between them. This book was super cute and fun!
