New Release Review: How to Win the Girl by Sara Ney

How to Win the Girl (Campus Legends, #2)How to Win the Girl by Sara Ney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Each Colter I meet becomes my favorite, but I don't know if anyone can top Drake. (Looking at your Drew!) And maybe it's because I married a college football player, but I found Drake just adorable and dreamy and SWOONY. The banter and text messages between Drake and Daisy was top notch and so darn funny. I loved that he called her Sassy! He's just so darn charming and I will readily admit to highlighting quite a few things he said that were just darling.

Cover Reveal: Breakaway by Heather M. Orgeron

Title: Breakaway: A friends to lovers romance
Author: Heather M. Orgeron
Genre: NA/Friends-to-Lovers
Cover Design: Jersey Girl
Release Date: November 9, 2017

Blurb

I fell in love with my best friend but he didn't love me back.
Sounds like a cheesy line from a country song, right? Too bad it's the story of my life.
I thought that I’d moved on, swore he was the one.
But that facade began to fade in the flash of a half-carat diamond ring.
Now years later, here I am, running back to the boy who broke my adolescent heart, hoping that just maybe, he’ll be the one to piece it back together.
....

I fell in love with my best friend while she fell in love with him.
Ironically, it was my own damn fault. I practically served her up on a silver platter.
So I turned to my second love, basketball, moving across the country to escape.
For years, I’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching, waiting.

Now it's time to make my move.
No more fouling out.
This time, I'm going to score.

New Release Review: Drumline by Stacy Kestwick

Title: Drumline
Author: Stacy Kestwick
Release Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2017

Traditions are important. Especially in the South.
College football. Rivalries. Tailgating. Halftime shows.
Some things just don’t change.
Until Reese Holland shows up with her long legs and no-bullsh*t attitude to audition for the prestigious all-male Rodner University snare line.
It doesn’t matter how much hazing she has to endure from Laird Bronson, with his narrowed green eyes and arrogant smirk. She wants that damn spot, and she’s more than good enough to earn it.
She expects there to be tension. Even friction.
But not sparks hot enough to burn the entire campus down.

***Drumline is a standalone college romance.

My review: 5 Stars!
Oh my goodness, where was drumline captain Laird when I marched in the band? Back in the late 80s/early 90s, Drill Team was still all the rage in the south, but I don't recall any Lairds on our drumline. The drumline were good friends of us short girls that stood next to them in formation on the field, and they even made hilarious shirts for us to wear, but none of them made my heart do what it did when I met Laird. Holy hotness. And Reese was so bad-ass! I absolutely adored her and the chemistry between these two was intense. I definitely need more Smith- was a perfect bestie! There was plenty of witty banter and hilarity mixed in to counterbalance the seriousness of several subjects. I found Drumline hard to put down, and I'll be checking out Stacy Kestwick's backlist because I just may have found a new favorite author.
