Fixing Us is the third book in Miranda Elaine's Fixing Series, but all three books can standalone. A different couple is featured in each book, and I was excited to get Leigh's story after meeting her in the first two books. It's a sweet small town second chance story, and Leigh and Gabe have fantastic, can't-stay-away-from-each-other chemistry. I also love the friendship of the girls in the series- their antics and banter are hilarious and they are definitely girls I would chose to be friends with. A great addition to the series!

What a fun summer-fling-turns-serious romance! Reading the blurb, I wondered about the age difference, because that's not usually my thing, but in the end I didn't feel 8 years was that big of a deal, since Montana was a 22 year old nurse- absolutely an adult. I loved Montana- she was hilarious and sassy and had a pet micro pig named Kermie- precious! Sam was quite a catch- gorgeous, caring (loved how he called her Sweets from the get-go) and loyal to his dad. It was nice to catch up with characters from the first book in the series, Fixing Her, but Fixing Him would still read well as a standalone. An enjoyable read!

My review: 4.5 stars!

It's hard to believe this is a debut novel for Miranda Elaine- it was so well done! Temperance was such a great character- I loved the bond between Tempie and her daughter Ellie, who was quite the spitfire. Asher was dreamboat book boyfriend material for sure- I could see why Tempie had set her sights on him when they were younger. The story made for a great slow burn second chance romance, and I thought the family drama interwoven in the story was really interesting. Leigh, Tempie's best friend, certainly needs her own book- she was a great side character! I will for sure be watching for more from Miranda Elaine.
