New Release Review: Jock Romeo by Sara Ney

Jock Romeo
Jock Hard #6
by Sara Ney

Release Date: December 9

HE IS THIS STORY'S LEAST LIKELY ROMEO.

Roman Whitaker is every girl’s best friend. An easy going nice guy, Rome is brilliant and funny. At the age of twenty-two, he’s moving out of his parents’ house for the first time and into off-campus housing with two complete strangers.

No more Mister “Playing it Safe.”

Rome may be wicked smart, but math and science will only get him so far, and they certainly won’t land him a first date with the girl of his dreams.

For that, he’ll get a little unwanted help from his friends—and meddling family members.

YOU NEVER FORGET A FRIENDLY FACE.

Lilly Howard is tired of being taken for granted. After breaking up with her philandering boyfriend, she’s giving up guys and learning to love herself again.

She’s sick of playing nice.

When she bumps into Rome, they become instant friends. When he asks her to be his fake girlfriend to keep his family off his back, she agrees—but only if he’ll return the favor…

My review: 4.5 stars
Oh my goodness, our hero Roman is just adorable. Nerdy, awkward, but so sweet and polite and just an all-around fantastic guy. He was just the type of guy that cheerleader Lilly needed to meet- to show her how great a healthy adult relationship could be. I enjoyed their slow-burn story so much!

New Release Review: Jock Reign by Sara Ney

Jock Reign by Sara Ney
Release Date: September 30

IT’S NOT EASY LIVING IN YOUR BROTHERS SHADOW.

Jack Dryden-Jones is easily the worst rugby player on the field—when he moves to The States to follow in his brothers footsteps, he has no idea how he’d hate the game. He’s so horrible he considers faking an injury to take himself out of the game.

Jack is a quick-witted, comic book loving gentleman—not an athlete.

DO NOT DATE YOUR ROOMMATES CRUSH.

When her roommate brings home a random stranger, Eliza is shocked when he makes himself at home; he’s strapping, strong and watching a movie at the end of her couch as if he belongs there.

It makes her uncomfortable in the best way possible.

But if there is one thing she believes in, it’s GIRL CODE: No girl may date her friend's ex, past crush, or guys who have humiliated/used her. And she most certainly may not date any guy her friend currently fancies...

DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Jack and Eliza are two of the good ones—it’s going to take a miracle to keep them apart.

My review: 5 stars!
Jock Reign was absolutely delightful! Jack was a hoot, and this was the first time I read a sport romance novel where the hero was reluctantly participating in his sport, and that aspect led to quite a bit of hilarity. Eliza was adorably quirky and I loved that she and Jack had so much in common when they met. Their slow burn had such a fantastic payoff. This has been such a great series and I'm excited to see what author Sara Ney has in store for us next.

New Release Review: Switch Bidder by Sara Ney

Piper has been crushing on Ryder Williams for years..

What better chance to make her move on him than when he’s sacrificing himself on an auction block for a squealing mass of fans at a charity event? Too bad she’d rather hide in the bathroom than raise her paddle; what girl actually bids on a guy who doesn’t know she exists?

Not. Piper.

But that's what friends are for...

One meddling best friend, and an overpriced bid later, and Ryder Williams is Piper's for the taking. Too bad that she has no intention of collecting on his debt.

Too bad Ryder is determined to find out why.

NOTE:: Switch Bidder is a SHORT #JockHard Novella, at 10,000 words. Aka: Short Novella

My review: 5 stars!
I loved this short novella (just 54 pages per Amazon). It originally was released on the Read Me Romance Podcast as a featured audiobook during March 2019. I listened to the audiobook and loved it, and knew I would want to add the ebook to my collection when it was released. The Jock Hard series is so fun, but Switch Bidder can absolutely standalone. Sara Ney infused this story with her trademark humor and witty banter and I enjoyed meeting both Ryder and Piper and hope to see more of them in future Jock Hard novels.
