LOTD #18: CoverGirl Blast Flipstick in Stunner

2 lipsticks in 1 BlastFlipstick! Flip your look from day to night, soft to bright, with BlastFlipstick's double-ended lipstick duos. With a creamy shade on one side and a shimmer shade on the other, it's two wearable, blendable, lipcolors in one!

This is another one of the Flipsticks I received from BzzAgent in December when I joined a campaign for CoverGirl.  Unlike Vixen, the base color on this one was very very dry. I found I needed to add the shimmer shade all over to make it comfortable. But I was still really pleased with this one since it is long-wearing and doesn't run into the lines around my mouth.  These retail for around $8.50.

Stunner is very coral, and perfect for what I am wearing today- some of my new spring clothes from Ann Taylor Loft. I have on this cardi today in Starburst Coral and I LOVE the color.

LOTD #11.5

Bright, gorgeous color that can transform your day and your lips. Enriched with a silk moisturizing complex, our formula helps sustain moisture levels and helps create soft, smooth, beautiful lips in just 7 days.

CoverGirl LipPerfection in Smitten
I am SO torn on this one.... I really like the way it looks and feels at first, but it oxidizes into a brighter pink and doesn't stay moist for very long. And although it promises to "sustain moisture levels", my lips actually feel drier after I wear it.
I have heard people rave about this line, so maybe I'd like a different color? Have you tried anything from this line?

Review: COVERGIRL blastflipstick

We all know I have too many lippies. I even made a resolution in 2011 to purchase no lippies that year. (Shhh.... of course I did *not* keep that resolution.)

So when there is an opportunity to try out a new lip product...... I'm absolutely first in line.

BzzAgent invited me to join a campaign for COVERGIRL's blastflipstick. In my kit, they sent three shades for me to try.

The dual-sided stick features a creamy color on one end and a shimmery shade on the other.

Here are the shades I received, swatched separately on the outside of the pic. The middle swatch in each pic is the lighter shade applied on top of the darker shade.

These are so fun! And guys, they are long-wearing. Very long-wearing. I didn't find them to be drying at all- in fact, they are very creamy yet they don't run into the lines around my lips.

These retail for around $8.50.

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless

I was so excited to be chosen for the BzzAgent COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless campaign. You know how much I love new makeup!

For the past few weeks, I've been trying out the Simply Ageless Foundation in shade 210- Classic Ivory. I'm quite yellow, so I was afraid this might be too neutral for me, but it actually matches my skin perfectly. I tend to be a bit oily, so I was worried that a cream foundation would be too much for me- but I was wrong! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it and found myself reaching for it day after day.

From the COVERGIRL website: This breakthrough formula with Olay Regenerist Serum and SPF 22 stays suspended over fine lines and wrinkles, unlike the leading anti-aging department store foundation that can gather in wrinkles and make skin look older. Clinically shown to provide significant improvement in skin condition in just four weeks.

However, I will tell you I don't use the sponge applicator that it comes with. Applying the foundation with the sponge gives a very heavy coverage- much too heavy for me. I instead use a damp foundation brush and love the light-to-medium coverage I get.

I totally meant to take a pic before I started using it, but yeah, that didn't happen. You can see where I've swirled my brush around- sorry about that, but hopefully you can get the idea of what the product looks like.

Up until earlier this year, I was using a mineral foundation, but I was noticing that it was settling into the fine lines around my mouth and eyes and making me look older than my 36 years. I am so glad I found this product- I have officially switched!

Disclosure: I received this product for word-of-mouth marketing purposes from BzzAgent.
