New Audiobook Release: Wait With Me by Amy Daws

Wait With Me
by Amy Daws
Narrated by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton

The audiobook we’ve all been waiting for is here! The Queen of rom-com, Erin Mallon, and the King of laid back, sexy heroes, Teddy Hamilton, have narrated this buzzworthy tire shop love story straight into our hearts.

Check out a sample hereà http://bit.ly/WaitWithMeAudio

Buzzfeed to Babble to Scary Mommy and even network television—the social media viral story is LIVE on audio!

The story of romance writer Amy Daws’ relationship with a little tire shop in South Dakota is a refreshingly fun tale that ends in an auto shop romantic comedy that you have to hear!

Daws cast a dream team of narrators for this dirty hot love story that takes place in Boulder, Colorado. Narrated in dual points of view, hear Tire Depot come to life with these sweet soundwaves.

When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer’s block as she's beginning the final installment of her international bestselling erotic Bed ‘n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back.

Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee—smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot.

She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic Miles Hudson notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees only entrance.

But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

Doing a test-drive of her new book idea sounds like a much better option.

My audiobook review: 5 Stars!
I cannot say enough good things about Wait With Me! I became a fan of Amy Daws after discovering her Harris Brothers series and was one of her followers on Instagram and Facebook. Because of this I was able to watch as it unfolded the hilarious true story that inspired this book to be written. It was so much fun to watch and follow along! I knew in my heart the book would be GOLD and I wasn't disappointed in the least- it was rom-com perfection and Miles made me swoon, as I like all my romance heroes to do. Such a fun backstory, and such a fabulous book. A MUST-READ if you are a rom-com fan!

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were PERFECTION as narrators! Somehow Teddy's voice was just how I imagined Miles would sound, and Erin did a fabulous job capturing the essence of Mercedes/Kate. I just can't GUSH enough!

Audiobook Revew: A Steel Heart by Amie Knight

A Steel Heart
by Amie Knight
Narrated by: Lisa Zimmerman, Kale Williams

Five seconds.
A deafening blast. Pain. Silence.
That was all it took for an IED to end my life as I knew it. The man I was shattered in a hard wave of sound and debris that rained down on me like death itself. And six months later, after waking up to an inescapable hell, I found myself wishing that death had found me. Until her.
Miranda Jacobs swept into my life like a cool breeze on a smoldering day. With her smart mouth and her ridiculous jokes, she brought me back to life one minute at a time. Turned out time wasn't on our side.
Five seconds.
Screams. Twisted metal. Silence.
And I'd lost it all again - only this time, I had no one to blame but myself.

My review: 5 stars!
One of the things I love about Amie Knight is that she can encompass so many feelings and emotions in her books- she can write witty dialog, touching emotional situations, and passion too! A Steel Heart had all of this and more. I loved how quirky Miranda was- after meeting her in See Through Heart I knew she was a character I wanted to get to know better. (Please note that A Steel Heart can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone.) I enjoyed her profession so much- she's a romance novel editor! So perfect! Holden's story was captivating and had me gripped. Their meeting and interactions were so well-written.  I was glad this was written in dual POV because both characters were so interesting and well-developed.

Both narrators were excellent. Although they are both new to me, I enjoyed their performances so much. My go-to speed for audiobooks is 1.25X and A Steel Heart was perfect at this speed- very conversational and easy to follow.

Blog Tour: An Imperfect Heart by Amie Knight

An Imperfect Heart, an all-new second chance romance from Amie Knight, is LIVE!

The heart is exquisite.
You’ll never hear anyone wax poetic over an organ quite like they do the heart.
When you’re lost in the world? Follow your heart.
When your love for someone is unwavering, unparalleled and unprecedented? You give them your heart.
As a lead pediatric cardiac surgeon, I knew better than anyone that the heart is equally as powerful as it is delicate.
The heart giveth just as easily as it taketh away.
And until the day Kelly Potter darkened my doorway that was all just part of the job.
She rolled in like a slow evening storm, fierce and beautiful, fighting for the life of her unborn child.
It should have been business as usual.
I was a doctor.
Her child the patient.
But Kelly was more.
She was the one who got away.
I wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
It didn’t matter what the rules were.
For once, I was listening to my heart.

My review: 5 stars!
An Imperfect Heart was such a unique story- somewhat of a second chance, but yet still a delicious slow burn. Kelly and Anthony had amazing chemistry, but I also enjoying seeing them grow a friendship and just enjoy simple companionship as well- their banter was hilarious and conversations believable. And their moms- what a hoot they both were! Although this book can completely stand alone, it was nice to see characters from Knight's other Heart books. Overall, another winner from Amie Knight!

Excerpt Reveal: One Baby Daddy by Meghan Quinn

 ONE BABY DADDY
By Meghan Quinn
Release Day – May 17

"What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?"

Forget.

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn't falling for my reputation as the NHL's Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend's house. She didn't want to hear my reason--she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy--and the perfect escape.

She's everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.

And I do, making this summer the best off-season I've ever had.

But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don't expect is to get her pregnant.

And what I definitely don't expect is having to fight for her affection.

EXCERPT
Tentative at first, we explore, our lips light, our mouths not quite nipping, but not fusing together either.
We probe, we search, we delve into each other.
Her hands to my face.
My fingers tangling in her wavy brown curls.
Mouths open.
A gasp.
A moan.
A tightened grip.
The lightest touch of tongues.
Scooting closer, she wraps her legs around the back of mine, linking them together.
Tangling, molding, becoming one, the sweet taste of her mouth on mine . . . I’m lost.
Falling and falling fast, our kiss so deep, so intense with each thrust of our tongues, with each mingling of our lips, with every intake of desperate breath.
Tender, the way she moves her lips across mine.
Shaky, the way her hands tentatively explore the crevasses and divots of my broad and built chest.
Fearful . . . of the unknown, of what this means.
But so electrifying because the craving I’ve harbored for this woman is finally being sated.
Eyes closed, hands lingering, I slowly pull away and rest my forehead on Adalyn’s trying to catch my breath, taking a second to steady the jittery, wobbly feeling in my legs.
“Wow,” I mumble. “That was—”
“Unforgettable,” she finishes for me, her nose rubbing against mine.
Exhaling, I say, “Yeah, it was.”
My hands venture to her sides, memorizing every contour of her body in their path. “Where’s your bedroom?”
Her eyes light up and she hops down from the counter, taking my hand in hers in the process. “This way.” She practically skips down the hallway, light and giddy.
The dark hallway leads to another white, clean, and crisp bedroom. Smooth lines, monotone colors of whites and creams, with one light blue throw pillow on her plush white bed that looks like a cloud floating in the middle of heaven.
Angling in my direction, she reaches for the hem of her dress, but I stop her, gripping her shoulders and standing her upright. Confusion laces her eyes and I take no time in easing that confusion.
“I want to take this slow, Adalyn.” I let out an unsteady breath. “That kiss back there, f%$& . . .” I press a hand through my hair. “That rocked my world.”
Shyly, she peeks up at me through her eyelashes. “It rocked my world too.”
Unable to keep my hands off her for too long, I tip her chin up and press my lips against hers, my mouth smoothing along hers, lush and delicious, just as I expected. She sighs into me, holding on to my waist. I press my tongue against hers again, loving how she gives as much as I take.
Slowing down, my lips brush hers, the fiery passion we have for each other simmering like a pot ready to boil, but never getting hot enough.
I don’t want it to get too hot. Not right now.
I need to know more about her. I want more time with her. I don’t want to jump into this—into a physical relationship—when I know there is so much more I can share with this woman.
There is time for this connection to go beyond the physical, but for now, I need to not get wrapped up in the sensation of her being so close to me and rather seduce her mind instead. I. Want. Her. I want what Calder and Rachel have. I want the depth of trust and friendship I’ve seen in my parents’ marriage . . . How is that possible so soon? God, I want inside her, but I think I need inside her heart more than in her body.
Yes, I’m certifiable.
Completely.
“Can we agree on something?”
“Depends on what it is.” Her fingers trace up and down my spine.
Tracing her pattern, matching it with my fingers, I say, “Can we both acknowledge this unimaginable pull between us? Can we admit to ourselves that the physical is there, that we both would have no problem taking this relationship to the bed?”
“Easily,” she breathes out heavily, her fingers playing with the hem of my shirt.
“Can we also agree to wait?”
Sighing heavily, she rests her head against my chest, knocking it a few times with her forehead. “You’re killing me, Hayden.”
“I know but there have been too many times where the physical has taken the lead in developing a relationship and the communication has lacked. I don’t want that with you.”
“I can understand that.” She bites her bottom lip, her thoughts running a mile a minute in that pretty head of hers. “But what about . . . you know . . . when you have to leave, go back to Philly?”
I nod. “This is for then. So when I do go back, we’ll be okay. Because I can see a future with you, Adalyn, and that’s why I want to build something solid with you, something that can last. I want that chance. With you.”
“So when you return to Philly, you want to stay in contact with me?”
“F$%& yes, I do. And I’m going to have you sitting front and center at as many games as you can get to, especially since I’m trying to make hockey your favorite sport.”
“I don’t know.” She smiles. “That’s going to be one hell of a task to accomplish. Think you can handle it?”
“I know I can.” I press a quick kiss against her lips and then slap her ass, making her squeal. With a wink, I say, “Go get changed for bed, we have some making out to do.”
“Making out?” she asks, adding in a lift of that well-defined eyebrow of hers.
Acting stern and pointing my finger at her, I say, “Just making out. If you start with your wandering hands, I’m going to jet out of here, taking my body warmth with me.”
“That’s just cruel.”
“Then keep it in your pants, Adalyn.” Smiling wickedly, I go to the living room to grab my overnight bag, reprimanding myself with the same warning.
Keep it in your pants, Holmes.

For the love of God, keep it in your pants.

Audibook Review: Man Card by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby

by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby
Narrated by Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon

5 stars!
I adored this book so much, and couldn't wait to dive into the audio. Luke Daniels did a PERFECT Braht and Erin Mallon was wonderful as Ash. The writing is top notch- I'm not typically into men that spend more time pampering themselves than I do- but somehow the authors made Braht a metrosexual I could totally get on board with. Such a surprise! The juxtaposition of his grooming habits and his alpha take-charge tendencies was such a great mix. Ash was his perfect match and the only woman with a sassy enough personality to challenge him and entice him all at once. Man Card is exactly what I love in my romantic comedy- witty dialog, chemistry, heat and humor. Man Card can totally standalone, but is best enjoyed after Man Hands, the first in the series. Man Card is an absolute delight!

Sometimes your first love deserves a second chance…

He was my first crush, my first kiss, my first everything.
But I’m not a lovesick teenager anymore, and I’d never let that cocky troublemaker break my heart again.
So when he shows up out of the blue asking me to have dinner with him “for old time’s sake,” I say I will. After all, it’s been twelve years, and I’m stronger and smarter than I was back then.
Except…he still does something to me. He’s got those eyes that make me weak, those hands that drive me wild, and a body I can’t resist—especially once I see the tattoos. It doesn’t take long for our trip down memory lane to go from sweet to sizzling.
We’re just as good together as we were back then—better, even—and I’m willing to give the only man I’ve ever loved another chance.
But he’s got to tell me the truth.

* * *

All I wanted was to see her again. Tell her I’m sorry. Make her smile.
Okay, that’s a lie. I wanted to do more than that—a lot more. But I know she’s better off without me, and I promised myself I’d behave.
Except I’ve never been much good at keeping promises…or my hands to myself when I’m around her.
I can make her laugh, I can make her cry, I can make her body surrender to mine in ways that neither of us could have imagined back then. I can—and I do—love her more than she’ll ever know.
But I can’t tell her the real reason why I’m here.
And I can’t stay.

My review: 5 stars!!!!
Oh I pink puffy heart this book so much! I just can't gush enough. I am a sucker for sports romance, and baseball is my favorite sport, so take that and add in some witty banter and I'M SO IN! Jock
Row is a delightful slow burn with a sassy smart heroine and a reformed playboy jock who is quite the gentleman. I adored Rowdy's relationship with his mom- her occupation is a fun little surprise. Jock Row hit a grand slam for me and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Making it hard to keep their tangled emotions from tearing their hearts apart when it’s time to say goodbye…

You can read the full first chapter for free on Rachel Lacey's website.

My review: 4.5 stars!
This is SO much more than rock star meets college professor- and it's so well crafted, it's hard to believe Rachel Lacey when she says this was the first book she wrote 10 years ago! I discovered Lacey when I read (and loved) her Risking It All series so I was excited to read the first book in her new duet. Katherine and Josh are both likable characters, both dealt more than their share of heartache in their lives. Filled with realistic dialog and believable chemistry, I thoroughly enjoyed Unwritten and am looking forward to the second book in the duet.
