4.5 stars! I am a big fan of Tara Sivec's Holiday series, so I couldn't wait to read the Halloween installment of their antics. Tara's sense of humor is spot-on and the Holiday family is back with their trademark absurd antics. I was laughing out loud from the beginning, but whenever I see shouty capitals, I know I am going to choke. Absolutely choke! What a riot! I hated to read that Tara was gathering "the Holiday family together one last time"..... I need more!

“It’s a Halloween wedding, and you’re wearing a costume,” Scheva growls.

“You said this was a meeting to discuss any final changes to the outfits. Well, I’m making a final change. I’m NOT wearing the costume you picked out for me,” Noel argues.

“You made me a cardboard box you expect me to wear, painted like an oven, with a picture of a baby inside that rests right over my stomach. YOU’RE COOKING A BABY!” Noel screams.

“DON’T PISS ME OFF OR I’LL MAKE YOU WEAR THAT FLUORESCENT-GREEN TAFFETA MATERNITY PROM DRESS WITH THE GIANT PUFFY SLEEVES I FOUND AT GOODWILL!”

“You wouldn’t!” Noel fires back, attempting to push herself up from the couch, her belly getting in the way and making her fall back to the cushions five times. I sit next to her and do nothing but watch.

I could be a gentleman and help her up from the couch, but then I’d just be convicted of aiding and abetting when Noel finally gets to her feet, charges Scheva, and chokes her to death.

I've been a Sophie Kinsella fan since I first read Confessions of a Shopaholic way back in 2000- hard to believe that was 18 years ago! While I adored Becky and her hijinks, and a Becky reread is always a good palate cleanser, I enjoyed this more true-to-life portrait of a couple 10 years into their marriage. Although I'd definitely categorize this as a fluffy read, Surprise Me took a turn and ended up being quite a bit deeper than I expected- and I felt the ending was quite a surprise indeed. Fans of Kinsella will enjoy Sylvie and her zany antics and trademark Sophie Kinsella humor.

The Flings With Kings series is so fun! After reading Royal Ruin, the first book in the series, I was hooked and couldn't wait for Rob and Aly's story. I'm a sucker for a redeemed irresponsible playboy and always love an independent woman. These two had such great chemistry! Peterson's books are always addictive reads and as usual I got sucked deep into this one and flew through it- such a great read with so much push and pull! Although it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading after reading Royal Ruin.

Staring at his chin, because I couldn’t quite lift my eyes any higher, I cleared my throat. “Should we get ready for bed?”

Nobody writes quirky romance quite like Penny Reid! Dan was my favorite kind of hero- funny, sweet, and so loyal. I really thought he and Kat were so perfect for each other and I thoroughly enjoyed their journey. So fun! Reid's writing is so charming and witty and just perfection.

The Spy Girl series is so exciting and every time I finish an installment, the cliffhanger leaves me panting for the next book! The author has done such a great job developing Huntley's character over the first 4 books in the series, and The Valiant was especially fun because we got so much more information about her childhood and mother through flashbacks. I enjoy all the male characters- Lorenzo, Daniel, and Ari- they are all developed so well too. I alternate between swooning for Enzo and Daniel I'll admit! Looking forward to book 5!

I cannot say enough good things about Wait With Me! I became a fan of Amy Daws after discovering her Harris Brothers series and was one of her followers on Instagram and Facebook. Because of this I was able to watch as it unfolded the hilarious true story that inspired this book to be written. It was so much fun to watch and follow along! I knew in my heart the book would be GOLD and I wasn't disappointed in the least- it was rom-com perfection and Miles made me swoon, as I like all my romance heroes to do. I'm about to do my second read so I can savor it a bit more, as I tore through it pretty fast because I just couldn't stop myself. Such a fun backstory, and such a fabulous book. A MUST-READ if you are a rom-com fan!

My review: 5 stars!
I adore the Remember When series so much (I'm a 92 high school grad) and it would be an understatement to say I was excited to hear the T. Torrest was writing Trip's POV. Trip makes me SWOON and has been at the top of my book boyfriend list for years. TRIP was everything I wanted it to be and more- somehow I am now even more into Trip than I was before. The book perfectly conveyed his personality and gave us some insight into his home life and relationship with his parents. And even though I knew the ending was coming, it still slayed me like the first read. Nostalgia is real folks, and so very fun to read- the Remember When series makes me forget for a minute that I'm 44 and remember what it felt like to be 18 and in love.

  “Well, Trip. Welcome to Norman. I hope you’ll like it here.”

   I gave the teacher a nod and started to head back to my desk. Summer Hair immediately became fascinated with her nails, picking at them in an obvious attempt to avoid looking at me.

   “Thanks,” I shot back. “I have a feeling I will.”

   Just as I reached Miss Warren’s desk, I tapped two fingertips on its surface, causing her to look up. In the split second we made eye contact, I saw her bottom lip drop a fraction of an inch. I couldn’t help but smirk as I slid back into my seat behind her. I was kind of hoping she’d take the bait and give me the time, but instead, she faked a coughing fit and excused herself from class.

   Man, was she cute.

   I was still reeling from the sight of her when Mrs. Mason started diagramming Romeo and Juliet on the board, and I folded my notebook open to an unmarked page in order to copy her charts for myself. With the notable distraction removed from the room, I should’ve been able to focus on actual classwork. But I’d already covered Shakespeare at my last school, so there was nothing new happening on that board that I hadn’t already seen before.

   And man, f$%k Shakespeare anyhow. Give me Christopher Marlowe any day. Now he was a badass. Who ever loved that loved not at first sight? Hell, if it weren’t for him, there wouldn’t even be a Shakespeare. Kit Marlowe came first.

   I checked the door to see if Summer Hair was on her way back into the room, and got discouraged when I caught the eye of some blonde chick instead. Her eyelids lowered to half-mast as she aimed an inviting smile at me, and I was flattered, but definitely not interested.

   You’d think I’d have been used to it by now, but it was almost comical at this point.

   Thankfully, I had enough experience to know the mystery would die down soon enough. The girls were always intrigued by the mystifying New Kid, and the guys were always wary that I was looking to challenge them for Top Dog status. It normally only took a few weeks for everyone to realize that neither was true, and I was tough enough to endure the near-constant scrutiny until then. Fact was, my only agenda was simply trying to find a way to fit in.
