One summer can change everything.

Jacinda Prescott spent one life-changing summer in Sweet Breeze Bay, New Zealand, and left disaster in her wake. Since then, she's thrown herself into her music career, and her life in LA. But when the price of fame threatens to become more than she's willing to pay, the distant bay calls her back.

Liam Ward walked away from everything he knew after the death of his talented brother, the guy Jacinda loved and lost. When he finally returns to the bay, looking for closure, she's the last person he expects to find - and the last woman he should fall for.

Stuck as neighbors for the summer, their off-limits attraction is hotter than the South Pacific sun. But the secret that ties them together is the one thing that could destroy her career, and break their hearts all over again...if they let it.

My review: 4 stars
What an emotional read! I really enjoyed this book- the setting was beautiful and I felt that both Jacinda and Liam were deeply developed characters- both with a shared tragic event in their past that has shaped their lives. The chemistry between them was undeniable- and I enjoyed following them along the will-they-or-won't-they journey.

About Kim Bailey

Kim Bailey is a Canadian author. She’s a born procrastinator and sarcasm junkie. She gets her motivation from coffee, the fact that her teenage children haven’t disowned her, and the smile on her husband’s face when she tells him “maybe”. When she was young and naïve, Kim dreamed of being a documentary filmmaker, and script writer. But when real life happened, she went to a job that actually paid her. Now she’s a customer support specialist by day and romance writer by night. Writing is something she’s always done – she has about 20 million half-started story ideas. She may also be a slight exaggerator. Kim promised herself to set her fears aside and make the dream real. She’s working on that, one day at a time.

I’ll do anything to save her. A woman I’ve never met, whose name I don’t even know, gambled her own life to protect my child. In return, she was taken by a mad man. I’ll put my career, my security, and my life on the line to get her back, even if it means facing the truth about my own mistakes. The only thing she can’t trust me with…is her heart.

This is a FULL LENGTH, STANDALONE with a HEA and NO CLIFFHANGER.

"Anchor is an out of this world, incredible story that combines an adrenaline-laced thriller with a sweet, steamy romance." The Wonderings of One Person "It had a perfect combination of action, suspense and romance." Crystal's Crazy Book Ramblings "Heart pumping and thrilling!" Kawehi's Book Blog

My review: 4 Heart-Stopping Stars!
Wow! I am so impressed by this book! I read it in one sitting, staying up way later than I should have to find out how it would end! The suspense was AMAZING and the drama was intense! Chloe is pretty amazing- what a strong brave woman. Gabe is dreamy, a retired Marine and father who loves his daughter. I will for sure be checking out the rest of this series!
