New Release Review: Killing Me Softly by Sandie Jones

Killing Me SoftlyKilling Me Softly by Sandie Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I adore mystery thrillers with possible unreliable narrators and throughout this whole book I wasn't sure if Freya or Charlie (or both!) were to be believed. The ending really took me by surprise!

New Release Review: The Locked Ward by Sarah Pekkanen

The Locked WardThe Locked Ward by Sarah Pekkanen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have enjoyed the prior novels I have read by Sarah Pekkanen, both her solo works, as well as her books co-written with Greer Hendricks. The Locked Ward grabbed me from the very first chapter- an only child finds out she has a twin? A twin who has been arrested for murder and is being held in a locked ward? This premise was fascinating and the dual POV really kept me invested and speed-reading to find out what happened. Some twists were a bit predictable, but I still found the over-arching mystery to be intriguing and it definitely kept me engaged until the end.

New Release Review: So Happy Together by Olivia Worley

So Happy TogetherSo Happy Together by Olivia Worley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So Happy Together was a wild ride with multiple unreliable, delusional characters who kept me guessing about who was the most untrustworthy. Jane's obsession with Colin was messy and chaotic and although some twists I saw coming, there were some I was totally surprised by. There was so much crazy in this book, and I really enjoyed it for just that reason.
