My review: 5 stars!
I chose novellas from four of my very favorite authors to review. I am excited to go back and finish the rest of the book soon!

Love Game by Emma Scott

Love Game is the story of Kai, a talented tennis star, and Daisy, who has recently moved to Hawaii to study Reiki after suffering a terrifying encounter at her parents home. I have read a lot of sports romance, but Love Game was my first ever tennis story. Both characters are dealing with intense issues and they were able to help each other so much. Their chemistry was so intense from their first meeting and I enjoyed them together.

About Emma Scott: Emma Scott is a bestselling author of emotional, character-driven romances in which art and love intertwine to heal, and in which love always wins. If you enjoy emotionally-charged stories that rip your heart out and put it back together again, with diverse characters and kind-hearted heroes, you will enjoy her novels.

The Guy in the Middle (Fair Catch) by Kate Stewart

What a story! Kate Stewart gave us a fantastic taste of her upcoming novel with this novella- The Guy in the Middle left us with a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the rest of the book! Stewart plans to expand and finish the story early next year. Lance is a football player who enjoys boxing, and meets Harper at the gym where she is practicing her dance routines. Both an enemies to lovers and forbidden romance, this one hooked me right from the start.

About Kate Stewart: A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. She pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it's what she loves as a reader. Kate is a lover of all things '80s and '90s, especially John Hughes films and rap. She dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity, and on occasion, does very well at whiskey.

The Strikeout by Meghan Quinn

The Strikeout leaves us in a bit of a cliffhanger too! Meghan Quinn promises to finish Holt's story for us soon. I enjoyed seeing more of our favorite baseball players from Quinn's recent baseball books The Locker Room and The Dugout. Holt and Harmony have amazing chemistry and even though she tries to be immune to his charms, she fails pretty fantastically. Can't wait to read more about these two!

About Meghan Quinn: USA Today Bestselling Author, wife, adoptive mother, and peanut butter lover. Author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance, Meghan Quinn brings readers the perfect combination of heart, humor, and heat in every book.

The Teaching Hours by Sara Ney

I love Sara Ney's How to Date a Douchebag series and was excited to see this featured in the novella. This one was so fun! Rex and Hannah were a hoot and I smiled the whole time I was reading this one. So far this is my favorite novella!

About Sara Ney: Sara Ney is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the How to Date a Douchebag series, and is best known for her sexy, laugh-out-loud New Adult romances. Among her favorite vices, she includes: iced latte's, historical architecture and well-placed sarcasm. She lives in the Midwest, collects vintage books, art, loves flea markets, and fancies herself British.

Woke up before my alarm this morning and finished another fabulous novella from the Team Player Anthology- Cross by Adriana Locke- 5 stars!

Publication Date: December 14th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary/Sports Romance

Hot jocks. We love them all.

Sexy baseball players. Intense footballers. Sweaty MMA fighters, and sizzling hockey hotties. Score!

The good news? Eleven bestselling authors have gathered to give you a set of stories focused on the men we love most—sports heroes. We bet you’ll love this thick…book.

The bad news? The men in these novellas don’t actually exist.

*This anthology does not contain calories, just eleven original, never-before-seen stories by the following authors: Adriana Locke, Mandi Beck, Charleigh Rose, Kennedy Ryan, LJ Shen, Meghan Quinn, Rochelle Paige, Ella Fox, Kate Stewart, Emma Scott, and Sara Ney. We aren’t responsible for melted devices.

My review: 5 stars for Cross by Adriana Locke
I loved meeting the Gibson Boys in Crank, which was released earlier this fall, and I was so excited that the author treated us to another guy from that crowd of rowdy boys in Cross. I devoured it! Cross was a fabulous second chance romance set in a small town that doesn't sound too different from the little town I grew up in. Kallie and Cross came across as so read, and even though this was a novella, the characters felt well-developed to me. These two had immediate off-the-charts chemistry, even after many years apart. I adored getting to meet Kallie's mom- she was so sweet and charming. Can't wait to get to know Kallie and Cross better in future Gibson Boys novels.

Adriana Locke:
A contemporary romance author running on coffee and sticky kisses from my rowdy four little boys. From Indiana, I’m a true Mid-Westerner. Life, for me, is about family, faith, and food. When I’m not running my kiddos around or having a lunch date of fajitas with my husband (and high school sweetheart), you can find me outside. I love a good sunny day almost as much as I love candy, random quotes, and steamy bad boys in fantastic books. I’m on nearly every social media platform. Please find me on the ones you frequent – I love chatting with readers.
