First, when I saw the book was about my beloved Yankees, the best team ever, I was elated! (My husband and I traveled to Yankee Stadium for opening weekend when the new field opened in April 2009!) I knew I loved Alessandra Torre's writing since I count Hollywood Dirt as a favorite (Cocky the Chicken! ha!), so this went on my TBR list as soon as I heard about it.
On top of being a scorching hot sports romance set on the field of my favorite baseball team, it was fast-paced and suspenseful! Beginning with forbidden romance, the book fast-forwarded a few years and became a second-chance romance with a murder mystery mixed in. I absolutely did not see the ending coming, but loved the ride Torre took me on. This will definitely be a re-read for me!
