My review: 4.5 Stars!

Gah! These Thompson men! I enjoyed Noah in Fix Her Up, and I ADORED Asher in Fix Me Not. Although I wasn't sure at first if Paige was worthy of Asher (because that's just how awesome he is), I liked her more and more as I got to know her. This was a great enemies-to-lovers tale- and the chemistry between these two was amazing! When they came together after quite a long slow burn, it was so worth it. Although it's book 2 in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone.

“Here,” Paige says, passing me a water and a plate of fries through my window. I’m back in the parking lot of the Moose tonight, parked right next to Millie’s Explorer.

“Are you trying to drug me?” I had asked. 

She shrugs her slender shoulders. “Consider it a truce.” 

I’ve finished all of the fries and am still working on my drink when she returns an hour or so later. “Shouldn't you be playing with your wood?” I choke on my water. 

“This your idea of a truce?” I ask, once I’m done coughing. 

“Humor me,” she says, leaning against my door. “You hired my mom so you wouldn't have to leave your land. Now you're leaving it every day to stalk me. What gives?” 

My head jerks back. “I am not stalking you.” 

She presses her lips together before a bubble of laughter escapes. “What would you call it?” 

I frown partly at her question and more so at the way she's acting. “Why are you being nice to me?”

I love a good football romance, and Adriana Locke really scored with this one! It's flirty, funny, and super sexy yet still sweet. I adored the witty banter and great characters. The chemistry was off the charts- I loved Layla and Branch together! Lucky Number Eleven was a quick, fun read and although this is a standalone, I'd love to see more of these characters!

Looking at Poppy, I can’t help but laugh as her eyes light up.

“You do,” Finn interjects, giving me a narrowed glare. “They aren’t any better than quarterbacks.”

“Finn, relax,” I say, shoving a swallow past the lump in my throat. “I appreciate the big brother spiel, but I can handle myself.”

Sarina Bowen is a one-click author for me- I feel like I have read her entire backlist, and loved every single word. I'm happy to say that after reading and loving the co-written Temporary by Bowen and Mayberry, I'll be checking out Mayberry's backlist as well. Temporary had everything I love in my romance reads: likable characters (Callen is dreamy!), a slow burn, super hot chemistry, witty banter, and great secondary characters. I hope these two authors partner again soon! The ending of the book hints that that might just be happening! Cannot wait!
