About THE OVERTIME KISS:

Just what every bride dreams of—running straight from her cheating fiancé into the arms of a hot hockey star… and then getting hired as his kids’ nanny.

Tyler Falcon is protective, flirtatious…and frustratingly responsible. We almost did something reckless when he found me alone in my wedding dress, and I blurted out all the things I’d never truly experienced.

Now, the sexy single dad is saving me again with a job I desperately need—and a promise to never mention The Night of 1001 Confessions.

I live in his house. Take care of his kids. Pretend I don’t notice his heated gaze lingering on me after they fall asleep.

Until one night, the tension snaps.

Now we have a deal. Five lessons in seduction. No strings attached.

But he’s not just good in bed. He spoils me with thoughtful gifts and supports my dreams. For the first time, I feel like I belong.

Except…this was never meant to last. I’m his employee. He has kids to protect. And neither of us can afford to make a mistake.

The more nights we spend tangled up together though, the harder it is to pretend it’s just physical. Because I’m not only falling for my boss—I’m falling for the man whose kids have stolen my heart.

Tropes: single dad/nanny, runaway bride, forced proximity, spicy lessons, she's his daughter's skating coach, confession of all secrets, love notes, found family

My review: 5 stars!

I finished the audiobook for The Overtime Kiss and loved it so much! Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Brooke Bloomingdale performed in duet style and it was fantastic. Sabrina and Tyler's story left me with such a big smile on my face. Tyler was such a fantastic guy- sweet, protective and truly and gentleman. After Sabrina discovered her fiancée was cheating the at beginning of the book and how terribly her dad treated her for standing up for herself, I loved the family she found with Tyler and his kids. Her girlfriends are amazing too- I have enjoyed getting to know them in other books in the Love and Hockey series. This book was such a joy!

New Release Review: Someone Knows by Vi Keeland

Title: Someone Knows
Author: Vi Keeland
Publisher: S&S/Emily Bestler Books
Genre: Standalone Thriller
Release Date: June 17, 2025

BLURB

As a college English professor, Elizabeth looks forward to the start of each new semester teaching her creative writing seminar. At least until she reads chapter one of The Reckoning, a tale about a high school senior who has an affair with her teacher. To anyone else it would be the beginning of a great page-turner, but to Elizabeth it is the beginning of the end.

She knows this story. It’s all familiar because she lived it. The girl in the story was her best friend Jocelyn, and Elizabeth knows exactly how the story will end—with the teacher dead. Because she was the one who killed him.

Someone knows what Elizabeth did twenty years ago and her secret is about to be exposed, but who is the mystery student submitting the chapters? In an effort to find out, Elizabeth returns to her Louisiana hometown where it soon becomes clear that no matter how many years have gone by, she can’t escape her past.

My review: 5 stars!

Last year I read (and LOVED!) author Vi Keeland's first foray into the thriller genre and was so hopeful that she would grace us with another book in the same genre, and was excited to dive into Someone Knows. I was immediately hooked and found it extremely hard to put down. The suspense and secrets and kept my attention until the ending shocked me! I adore Keeland's writing style and can't wait for her next book.

Take a sneak peek at SOMEONE KNOWS.
You know you want to...

A voice behind me catches me off guard. “Put hers on my tab, please, Willow.”

I expect to find the mullet man when I turn, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Instead, there’s a tall, handsome—albeit too young for me—man with a deliciously crooked smile. That smile widens, unveiling a set of cavernous dimples. Oh my.

“You are definitely not from around here,” he drawls.

I swivel and face him for a better look. “Oh yeah? Why is that?”

“Because the girls from these parts drink one of three things: White Claws, High Noons, or Jack and Coke. And the third I keep away from because that means they’re going to wind up sloppy drunk.”

“I suppose the reason I don’t drink any of those is because I’m a woman, not a girl.”

Dimples looks me up and down. There’s a sparkle in his eyes when they meet mine. “You sure are.”

I chuckle. He’s corny and over the top, but something about him appeals to me. It could be the confidence. There’s nothing I’m drawn to more than a confident man. Which is why Sam isn’t the first cop I’ve dated.

“What’s your name?” I tilt my head. “Or should I just call you Dimples?”

“Name’s Noah.” He smiles, flashes those things like a weapon, and holds out a hand. “And you are?”

“Elizabeth.” I put my hand in his, but instead of shaking, he lifts my knuckles to his lips and kisses just above them.

“Pleasure. Where you from, darlin’?” He waves his hand. “Wait. Let me guess.”

“This should be interesting . . .” I cross one leg over the other. Noah’s eyes drop to follow before looking up unapologetically and wagging a finger at me.

“I bet you’re from New York City.”

“Indeed I am. What gave it away?”

“You just have that look about you.”

“And what look is that?”

He grins. “Like you can eat a man alive.”

“Considering you’re standing here and just bought me a drink, I take it you enjoy being eaten alive?”

“I don’t mind it.” He leans in, putting his mouth next to my ear, and whispers, “But I’m a gentleman, so I’ll always do the eatin’ first.”

The bartender interrupts, which I’m grateful for because this young’in has got me all hot and bothered. She places another drink in front of me and lifts her chin to Noah. “You want your usual?”

“Yes, please.”

She raps her knuckles against the bar twice. “Coming right up.”

Noah slides into the seat next to me and scoots it over a few inches until his knee is touching mine. “So what brings a city girl down to these parts?”

“I’m visiting family.” I pick up my drink and take a healthy swig, watch the man next to me over the glass. “Tell me, how old are you, Noah?”

“Old enough.”

“Old enough for what?”

He grins again. “Anything you want to do.”

I chuckle. “I walked right into that one, didn’t I?”

Over the next hour, Noah and I talk. Surprisingly, we have a lot in common—even though I did the math when he said the year he graduated high school and know he’s ten years younger than me. Noah is a writer. He pens a sports column for the Louisiana Post, but he wants to write a novel someday. He has a degree in journalism from Tulane, runs half marathons, and is willing to travel for a good meal at a restaurant. He’s read Tolstoy and Faulkner, but prefers to read Stephen King on a night when the wind is howling. And he’s currently remodeling his house all by himself, rather than hiring people.

After my third drink, I’m relaxed enough to forget the reason I’m down here for the first time since crossing the state line. But my gut tells me the man next to me could make me forget my name for a while. So even though I rarely take up with a man under forty, I decide to make an exception. Noah excuses himself to go to the men’s room, and I wait a few seconds, then hop down from the bar stool and follow.

I look around to see if anyone is watching before opening the door and slipping inside. Noah is facing the urinal. He doesn’t turn until he hears the clank of the lock. When he does, his eyes go wide.

I grin. “You can finish up.”

He chuckles and turns around. “Haven’t even started yet. But suddenly I think it can wait. Whatcha doin’ in the men’s room, beautiful?”

“Seeing if you’re worth going home with.”

That CrushThat Crush by Jillian Dodd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was so excited to dive back into the That Boy world and loved to hear that The Crush was the start of a new trio of books in the series focusing on Damon, now heading to college, and his summer crush Ainsley. Author Jillian Dodd has treated us to such great stories for the original characters and it’s been so fun to get to know the next generation. I loved the book and cannot wait for the next book in the trio to see what happens next!

New Audiobook Release Review: Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn

Till Summer Do Us PartTill Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness... Till Summer Do Us Part was an absolute hoot from start to finish. Author Meghan Quinn comes up with the most hilarious premises and always delivers heart, heat, and hilarity. I listened to the audiobook and narrators Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon hit this one out of the park. I don't know how they made it through all the hilarious situations without cracking (but let's be honest, this material was so funny I bet they had to do multiple takes!). Wilder being an improv actor was so great- the "yes, and..." setups were plenty and perfect and had me doubled over. This was pure comedy gold and I enjoyed every minute!

Can't Always Get What You WantCan't Always Get What You Want by Sara Ney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Author Sara Ney is an absolute comedic genius! I laughed so hard reading Nova and Luca's story and the flirting was spicy perfection! Luca is top-notch boyfriend material and their text flirting is such a hoot. This was a light and satisfying read and so fun. I loved seeing the Grand Gesture coming from the girl and not the guy. I am absolutely loving the Hockey Baddies series and cannot wait for the next book!

About IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA (Coming 9/2/2025):

I really don't need a bodyguard―I run a small-town lavender farm, for bee's sake! But I'm getting one anyway since my identical twin sister just booked the movie role of a lifetime and it's being shot in my hometown. And guess who my new broody, tattooed protector is? None other than the guy I had a one-night stand with last month.

Correction: he's the guy with the wicked mouth and heated eyes who ran out on me before the bang without so much as goodbye. And of course he arrives in my tiny hometown where the film is shooting right in the nick of time to save me from the paparazzi at the market. The coffee shop. The dress shop too. I'm trying hard to stay mad after the third time the sexy jerk rescues me.

To top it all off, he's staying in the cottage at my farm. With me. And there's only one bed.
Maybe just one night would relieve all this tension? But one night turns into another, and then into sharing hearts and secrets that are best locked up. Especially since he's leaving and I'm staying, and there's no way we can be more than a summer romance that ends far too soon.
