I'm a Big 'Ole Hick

This morning the kids and I were at an appointment and the doc said something I didn't quite hear.

I said, "Do what now?" and she died laughing.

I guess they don't say that back East.

    They don't? I thought that was standard speak. "Fixing to" is total hick, but "do what now" sounds very normal to me.
