Continuing on yesterday's post on crap to take with me this weekend for the half, here's a list of necessary apparel.
Sports bra and shorts: I love the C9 line by Champion that Target sells- it's affordable, easy to find, and well-made. I'm a fan of the basic sports bras and mesh shorts that I've linked to above.
Shirt: I'll be sporting a Skinny Runner "I ran so far away" shirt.
Headband: I need something to hold my bangs back, and I guess I have a weird-shaped head, because all the skinny headbands I tried in the past slowly slid up my head until they were useless and I looked like a condhead. Sweaty Bands are basically a velvet-lined ribbon that runs from ear to ear, attached together with a very slim elastic band that rests on the back of your head. And they don't slip! My fave is the solid black.
Socks: Socks are oh-so-important. The wrong sock can rub blisters and just cause an uncomfortable run. I have small feet and have trouble finding socks that fit well. The socks above, the Drymax Running Lite-Mesh Mini-Crew, are my absolute faves.
Shoes: My current shoe, the Adidas Supernova Adapt, has been discontinued, but if you happen to wear a 5.5, 11.5 or 12, the above link will take you to Amazon, where they still have them for $51, no tax or shipping. Jump on it if this is your shoe!

You are running in baggy shorts. I could never do that. I'm a hot mess when I run. I've been thinking about ordering some sweaty bands actually.
