Shred It or Dread It

Seriously, my out-of-shapeness is out of control.

Take my love of beer and sweets, add in a trip to NYC, a trip to Branson, then mix in 4 weeks of no running due to random foot injury, and you've got 15 pounds. I'm mad, embarrassed, and general pissed off.

But today's the day....... I begin Operation Shred It or Dread It.

See, my Mexico trip is in about 6 weeks and if I don't Shred It, I'll Dread It.

So I'm going to be accountable on here, Bridget Jones-style, so I can get this done.

My plan:

  1. Count WW points, except on Saturdays
  2. No alcohol units, except on Saturdays (everybody needs a day off!)
  3. Exercise 6 days per week, running if possible, but always doing Jillian

Care to join in?

do you really see results from doing her workout? obviously considering watching what you are eating at all times.

Hey friend, can I join in? I started the 30 Day Shred but only made it to day 10 or so. I need to lose 20 pounds, but I don't have a sunny vacation planned to motivate me. If I have to report to someone, however, I know I'll do MUCH better at it.

I was going to get up and start the Shred this morning but I overslept (grrrrr). I really, really, REALLY need to get back in shape and lose this stinkin' weight!

I am curious to see if you get results from the 30 day shred. I did it for 41 days...no breaks and did not loose an ounce. But I do workout on a regular basis and eat whatever I want. I love the workouts and still do them a few days a week when I don't have time for my regular 60 minute workout. I think it is a great work out to stay in shape but not to trim down. How can 20 minutes a day make that big of a difference. I wonder if it is just me.

Allyson, I've been running for quite some time, so Mr. Sasha says I have got to add in some weight training to lose weight. So I still plan on getting my cardio from running, but using Jillian for weight training.

Lisa- Yes, I can already tell my arm muscles are getting a good workout. And of couse, I am going to start watching what I am eating and make sure I do cardio too- I'll just use the Shred video for strength training.

Megan- YES, join in! We'll check in each Friday and motivate each other!
