My Favorite Holiday Read

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson

Y'all, hands down, my most favorite book ever. What? You haven't read it? That's absurd. Stop what you are doing and order it. You won't regret it.

Now, it's probably not for your kids, as it's recommended for grades 3 and above. But if you are on board with me on the whole "Christmas has become over-commercialized" thing, this book will speak to you. You'll most likely shed a small tear and your heart will feel warm and like it may just explode after you're done reading it. Or at least that's what happens to me each and every time I finish it.

Now, let's discuss something I typically don't discuss. Me making money on this blog. It really doesn't happen. I get a little here and there from Ebates referrals and My Survey referrals and I've even had a DirecTV referral and a Gymboree Visa referral (see left sidebar should you be so inclined.)

But if you happen to be ordering anything from Amazon, anything at all, would you kindly click on one of my Amazon links before you put stuff in your cart? That'll give me a small percentage of your order, and I'd appreciate it and it would certainly support my Sephora and Avon habit. And it might get Mr. Sasha off my back a little. He's always checking the front porch for boxes and asking, "What'd you order now?"

If you would be so kind ot put one on your side bar, I'll click on it everytime. I order from them several times a month and probably more with Christmas coming.

One of THE BEST books ever! It was made into a TV movie back in the early 80s too, with "Hot Lips Houlihan" from MASH as the narrator's mom. I have the DVD somewhere... I think it's almost time to break it out. :)

Oh I looovvvveee that book! I have it and can't wait to read it to the boys this year. My friend found the movie for me last year--I believe she found it vhs. We had to go down to the store to watch it because that is where the VCR is!!! When I was a kid I loved watching the movie at school--I coudln't wait for the day to come when we would go to the library and watch the movie. I usually get family gifts for my friends--I think I will add this to their gift this year. I will remember you when I order them and if your nice I won't stick a pussywillow down in your ear :)
